Thanks for all the replies and also sorry for not updating. But i didn't find the motivation to work that much on those projects. But thanks to your comments i did at least make a plan of what i want to add. I decided against adding a larger eagle onto the coat. What i will try to do instead is add small details into the edges of the cloak. That should leave enough freehand space but will also add some detail to the coat.
This is what still needs to be done.
- Fix a few air bubbles
- Add the netioned decorations to the cape
- Add a new belt buckle decoration.
- finish the trenchcoat
- Create/rework a second head

It isn't that much so i'll probably finish soon. And hopefully i can get motivated enough to rewok the cast for the sergeant as well so that all who want a cast can get it.

Another quick progress update. I finally cleand the IG sergeant cast and looked indepth at the larger airbubble. It can be cut away if you are carefull but the risk of damage is still there. I don't know if i can create a better mold. So what i will probably do is recast the single arm together with some other stuff. This way i can hoepfully put another better cast arm into the mix. If the arm doesn't come out better i can't do anything better until i spend money and time on some proper casting equipment. And that will probably only happen after my master thesis is through (So half a year.)

On the commander i have one head finished and most of the details done, but i have tio redo parts of the trenchcoat as it collided with the arms a bit. The commander arms where okay but the sergeants arms should be usedable too. For that i have to make a few minor changes.

I expect it to be done before next weekend so i can hopefully create the molds and start casting next week. But as i once miscalulated the time already due to the time spent on my masters thesis i won't give you a guarantee for next weeks finish.

Perhaps tubes that run from where the mouth should be to under (or behind) the head may add a bit to the looks of the helmet?

Kerrigan looks good, if a little short.

Yeah something like that

Kerrigan looks good, if a little short.

What looks short exactly? The model itself or just how it is propotioned?

And sorry for the lack of new stuff but i didn't found enough time and motivation to work properly. But i have at least done some work. The IG commander body and her head is finished now. But i noticed a small flaw in the neck joint that hinders different head rotations. It would require a small bit of sanding to make the head rotateable. I now have the options to keep it like that and if you want other head poses you'd need to slightly adjust the neck. Or i could adjust the heads myself and redo the whole mold. The latter might be the better option and it might even get rid of the stupid air bubble on the sword handle.

Also a question. What head do you like me to add to the commander variant? The one i currently have has a cap somewhat similar to a commissiar. What other headgear would you say are suiteable for IG HQ models? Just some stern looking female heads or are there some specific features you like to have?

Also Kerrigan's body is mostly finished with only one hand missing. I started to work on her bone blades but it is a long task to create all those organic looking segments. Maybe i can get some more work done over the week so that there actually is some detail to see.

We can adjust the heads - your minis are worth a little work.

You mean a full head mask or just the lower face?
I have a few heads that i could work with. They where originally ment for my Adepta Sororita project but i could use them for the commander as well.

And here is a shot of one of kerrigans wings. Didn't do much on it but i wanted to show what i currently have.

And those are my prototypes of my nurgle marines. The idea is to kitbash marauders and marine bitz and sculpt additonal leather and chain bits as well as combat drug vials to represent their higher toughness. The idea is to create something along the line of slave-herder / harem guard look mixed with the chaos theme. I don't like those rotten details of nurgle so i wanted to avoid that here. They are supposed to look massive and strong but slow.

What do you think?

Awesome biker vest.

Those bulked out arms make em look tough as nails.

You could always also do the (older)batman bane thing with the tubes.

I started to work on another head for the commander with a bit of exposed bionics. And i also plan on adding a third head i just need inspiration. The gas mask might be an option but i'm not 100% taken on the idea yet. I will look on the GW models for inspiration but if you have other ideas as well of favorites just say so. I'm always in need of further inspiration.

One thing to note in the compability of both sets. The way the arms of the sergeant are designed they can't fit on the commander as the shoulder armor goes over the shoulders slightly. So it needs some small conversions to be completely interchangeable. (That i can't/won't change now.)
The commander arms will be useable without a problem on the sergeant though.

Do you mean the wing membrane? Because those won't have any. Those are the blades for Kerrigan and she has those not for flying but to bash them into her enemies.

And sorry for the lack of updates but i didn't have the time for my hobby lately.

Just a quick post to show that i'm still alive. I'm slowly starting to work on my hobby again after a break. Nothing really fancy. I picked up the work on an old demon prince and also started a new one(which initially should have been a forgefiend but turned out much to small for that). I also did the groundwork for my DE Talos + Sentinel kitbashed Slaanesh hellbrute. And a few smaller things here and there. If my motivation is high enough i might take some pictures in the next few days.

Most of my other projects are halted until i have the time and mostly the motivation to continue.

Guys, I'm not dead.

My masters thesis is done and I finally picked up my sculpting tools again. My camera is rechaging right now.
I have a few old projects that I never took pictures from. (Talos pain engine Helbrute, custom typhus and another demon prince ...)
And I did a few new attempts at actual sculpting. Nothing fancy. Just smaller stuff to flex my sculpting muscles. If everything works out well I'll soon start working on my complicated projects (sisters, kerrigan, usw.) Just have to work myself up there to feel comfortable.

Holy gak! That Talos/Sentinel kitbash is absolutely amazing even now! Typhus looks like a good start, but is obviously missing a lot of details as of yet. Any plans of "Slaanesh-i-fying" him any further, like you did with Kharn That third guy gives off a really strong Doom Cyberdemon vibe!
