I would think that since this is the tourney thread this is where i would ask but does anyone know where to find the results for the BAO singles, as frontline gaming has the doubles results already posted.
Thank you!

Blood of Kittens is reporting that BAO was won by Lisa, a Chaos Daemon player.
BoK Facebook page.
And with that Lisa won best overall at BAO with demons going 7-0 also a first at BAO. Out of over 140 players. She is also the first woman to win a major event. Will post more details soon.

An undefeated run is very impressive. I wonder what the composition of her list was.

In the doubles it was mostly flamers and screamers in her list.

She must have used different lists as Jy2 mentioned that her list wasn't a Flamer/Screamer spam list.

She had a beautifully converted army, one of the bests I've seen! Think of The Little Mermaid warped into Daemons. Amazing work!

Yeah, her army was a very nice conversion with the "sea creatures" theme. And she's a tournament regular as well. I've seen her in a lot of tournaments, including the Golden Throne GT and BAO last year.

I believe she only had 1 unit each of the screamers and flamers, though I don't have her list.
Gotta give her props for winning with what appears to be a "non-power" daemon list. And she beat Alan Bajramovic to win it (the winner of the TSHFT GT earlier this year)!

Posted my quick summary of the BAO this year on my website. The title intro I use for the blog post is the same I use for all Tournament posts I make so don't take it as a reference to the contents inside. I also took over a 100 pictures I posted up as well!

There's a repeat of two paragraphs that say the same thing, but worded differently. Light editing needed. Otherwise, good summary!

Liz won! Our first undefeated BAO champion, ever. It was a great game, and played all the way through to the wire. Such a fun way to end the event.
I will get results up tomorrow. With the BAO we have to break down the entire event, clean up, sweep, etc. and we all just got home, wiped out. I will post results tomorrow. Too tired to do so now.

Its cool i was just excited to hear about how things went. I could understand how cleaning up 40+ tables with scene and putting away all those models would be exhuasting after a few intense days of gaming!

Getting my broom incase there is shenanigans.
|
#1. As Reese pointed out her name was Liz.
#2. She had 2 squads of screamers and 3 squads of flamers with 6-7 models each so I do not know if that fits your definition of spam.
#3. Doc was saying that she tabled him in 3 rounds.
#4. She almost tabled me!

Well the old demon Codex went out with a bang. Lets see if the New codex can win at adepticon. I am looking at you Mr Kim. I also heard rumor that Chester may be swinging the demons but that is purely rumor.

Liz Foster for the win. Congrats Liz! I still remember the day she tabled my Space Wolves 2 years ago when Daemons weren't OP. Then it was seekers and daemonettes in her army with a handful of heralds on mounts and plague bearers to camp the objectives.
Taking absolutely nothing away from Liz (because she is a top notch player, and I am also a notorious daemon player) it looks like the rumors might have been true. [sarcasm]Daemons may well have been a little OP in their waining days.[/sarcasm]
That said, had the BAO been next month and had she been using the new codex I have no doubt she would have still been a top 16 finisher (if not better) in a field of 144.

The meta at this event was very interesting. There were many people fielding Dæmons as a "last hurrah" of the old Dæmon rules. I think this was an unusual fluke for a 5e event given that it was the last event to allow the old Dæmon rules, though with a new Codex out we'll probably see a lot of people taking new Dæmon stuff as well in the near future.
Allies were common though not ubiquitous. Of seven matches on pretty high tables I played four armies with no allies and three armies with, though two of the armies without allies were Tyranids. If there was one unit that seemed to be common it was the Heldrake-- these are definitely out in force post-FAQ ruling, and most of them looked to be equipped with Baleflamers.
The traditionally underrepresented Tau, Tyranids, and Sisters all made a good showing at the event, with 5+ players for each-- though out of a field of 144 that isn't all that surprising. Tau may have seen unusual representation thanks to Forge World, which really does wonders for many components of their army, what with the upgraded Hammerhead turrets, Tetras, and various suit variants. Black Templars, on the other hand, only had one player on the field. I also didn't notice very many Dark Eldar or Eldar players.

Im curios, as i live in florida and have 0 ways to CA anytime soon, as to what the top 10 looked like. How people faired vs the necron flyer spam and if any of the not often played, tau/tyranids and the like, made the top 10. Im a newer player and i choose nids so im trying to stay up to date on what competitive lists are going to be looking like so i don't get thrashed in the future

Had a great time over the LONG weekend, but it was very well worth it!
I game with Liz locally in Sacramento and have to say she is a top notch player. i played her Round 6, we were both undefeated, and she beat me to head onto the top table.
I know the Top 4 looked like this:
1st- Liz Foster- Daemons
2nd- Alan- IG/Space Wolves
3rd- Paul McKelvey- IG/Chaos Space Marines
4th- Cody Jiru (Me)- Dark Eldar/ Eldar
I dont know the exact people for the rest of the Top 10 besides #9 who played Space Wolves who was named Matt Bess. (I know because I rode up with him)
Initial thoughts were that Hell Drakes were out in full force. Except, you didnt see many of those people on the top tables. necron Airforce was there, but never on the top tables. Daemons had quite a nice showing in their last hoorah. Many many IG players took advantage of Sabre Platforms, Artillery pieces, or something else like the Vulture (awesome btw!)
All in all a great tournament with only a minor setback in registration on the first day. Got on track second day and finished up an awesoem tournament and weekend of gaming. much thanks to Reece and the gang for putting on a terrific tournament.
