Mark of Slaanesh gives the deamon Rending and some funky fleet rule.
But it doesn't tell you what gets rending. Just that the deamon gets the special rule rending.
Is it on the close combat weapons? If so, why doesn't the rule explain that?

If you buy the lash of dispair (2D6 range 12 attacks) will those attacks be rending too?
How about psycic attacks?

Maybe this will make a Flying Prince with dubble Lashes duable.

Have a look at the Rending special rule (BRB pg 41). That'll clear it up for you.

The rending only aplies to the close combat attacks, it does not carry on to ranged weapons. And on another note, dual lashes?!? Not sure if legal, but damn i want to try it out 4d6 str6 shots that hit on a 2+ will most likelly drop planes like flies

does it say so in the codex? Am at work, so don't have the codex in front of me.

And back to rending, I'm pretty sure vector strikes are still rending right?

No, Vector strikes aren't close combat attacks, they are Vector Strikes

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

Yeah it says under the rewards section on the top of pg 66 "Each reward can be duplicated across the army, but can only be taken once per model..."

With rending the rule states that model with a combat weapon with rending or if the model itself has rending it can get rending attacks in close combat it then goes on to say if the model has a ranged weapon with rending then their ranged attacks will rend.

Basically the whip doesnt rend and you can only have one.

It's not that they are not CC attacks (which is true). It is that Vector strike does not benefit from any special rules or wargear.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Why is it JUST for Close Combat?

Because that is what the rule for Rending says?

Yeah, if you want rending on shooting you need a weapon that has rending. The whip does not have it unfortunately.

Its still pretty effective though, especially if you can grab iron arm.
