Subject: Movies that totally represent your 40k army
Name a movie that represents the look or feel of your army or race. For mine I'll go with Starship Troopers because I play Imperial Guard, wheras orks might go for mad max, and so on-

starship troopers..ugh, what a waste of a awesome book, I had such hopes for it , when I read it was being made, well here's hoping for the reboot to be much..much more like the book.
I don't really have a movie that represents any specific army, but I do have some I watch while painting to sorta give inspiration, Alien, Aliens, Avatar, blade runner, but unfortunately there are not a lot of good sci-fi war movies, so usually it ww2 war movies as well, Kelly's heros, band of brothers, blue max, patton.
If they get the New starship troopers right it could be the best sci-fi war flick.
The Ultramarines movie because:
1. I play Ultramarines
2. My army plays much the same way the squad in the movie does, namely wandering around like idiots getting one-shotted by Chaos Marines

My Blood Angels in particular - The Last Samurai.
Honourable, misunderstood by outsiders (no we DON'T sparklefeth you very much) and, what with the release of 6th, slowly being left behind as the rest of the world progresses. :p

This is the most important point made so far...there is a reboot coming? If it follows the book...ooooh I shouldn't get my hopes up
I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own...

My Space Wolves are like the movie The Expendables, with the nonchalant, joking atmosphere combined with very thick plot armour.
My Imperial Guard are like the movie Predator. Oh, so you took out my vehicle (helicopter)? wiped out the first squad (Green Berets)? and now have my last squad down to one guy left (Arnold)? Sure you made all those saves against the heavy weapons of the squad (minigun/m60/m79/etc) but now in close combat against the last guy left? What can possibly go wrong?

Kelly's Heroes. I like to play loud music when gaming... It kinda calms me down. The positive vibes are always useful as well! Its particularly relevant when playing The Relic

Rick Priestley said it best:
Bryan always said that if the studio ever had to mix with the manufacturing and sales part of the business it would destroy the studio. And I have to say – he wasn’t wrong there! The modern studio isn’t a studio in the same way; it isn’t a collection of artists and creatives sharing ideas and driving each other on. It’s become the promotions department of a toy company – things move on!

Funnily enough, Firefly/Serenity (some would also say Battlestar Galactica here but I haven't watched the new one much) for my Eldar; they're a relatively small group of ships with no home left, trying to survive in a hostile universe while balancing on the edge of destruction. Also the presence of psychic space ninjas, but they're usually more stable than River.
Are we allowed books here? Because my airborne Guard and their allied Grey Knights are intentionally based on the Seanchan Fists of Heaven and the Deathwatch Guard (no relation to the Order Militant of the Ordo Xenos here) from the Wheel of Time.

Would it? Didn't most of the book except for the opening chapter take place:
a) At boot camp
b) In an OCS classroom

I just thinking, is there any movies that accurately represent 40k space marines? (besides ultramarines) It doesn't seem like it. Most of the space marines in movies are more like imperial guard (no power armor suits). I guess thats what makes gw space marines different though
