I have long been a fan of 40k and I would like to think I know a lot about it and the stories compared to some people and I really think I am premature compared to some other people who know a lot about which is why im asking the question I am about to ask ...............
after horus hersey chaos primarchs all turned deamon prince (except kurze KIA) and have warp/chaos power after fleeing into the eye of terror, but why did the loyal primarchs disappear? I mean vulkan went off and left clues? russ disappeared ? khan disappeared? lion injured on the rock? corax? why did the loyal primarchs leave? and the bigger question I have is will GW continue the stories and make some returns of them ? or will it just be a massive big question mark to keep people guessing? I would like to see returns of the primarchs and some new stories made
thanks for reading

Bringing the Primarchs back would mean advancing the timeline beyond later M41/early M42 -- and that seems to be very unlikely.

Honestly all this wishing for the primarchs to come riding back and save everyone from the big nasty universe is silly, if they could have done it in the first place they would have.
The time of the primarchs is kinda like the 1st and 2nd age of middle earth..everything was bigger and more awesome, but those times are gone and now everything is more grim.
And the future rests on the shoulders of (mostly) normal men and women , no ultra powerful superhumans, just garden variety superhumans.
Now stop day dreaming and get out there and make your own legends,
(or play FW's 30k stuff)

only way i would like to see the primarchs come back is if traitor primarchs come back as well.
Something like they all come back as demon princes and push the IoM back to the wall and all looks grim, well more grim then normal.
then BAM! vulkan comes back from vacation, Leman russ finds out he had his map upside down this whole time and finds his way home, Roboute Guilliman gets turned into the terminator to heal his wounds and just start curb stomping demons, kicks the inquisition in the balls says sick of your gakk, emperor would not want this kind of fear within the IoM and then they begin the next great crusade.
Vulkan brings back lost tech and they start making more advanced weapons, titans, battle ships. ect ect. if its going to move forward it needs to be big.

The loyalist Primarchs returning and saving everything with their awesomeness is not just sort of unlikely considering their inability to do so the first time, but it's thematically bankrupt. The appeal of 40k is that the vast, expansive, versatile setting is also one of the darkest, bleakest universes imaginable, a soaring operatic darkness where man's survival is uncertain at best, and inevitably doomed at worst.

They should never bring them back, but they desperatly need to stop killing them off. The fun is in the mystery. Now that Ferrus is dead we have one less primarch to guess and speculate about. He's dead as they get, his head was cut off and his body imploded on itself. Dorn is at a 99% chance of being dead considering they retconned the novel with his death but they might still have his skeleton or just his left hand encased in amber depending on the source. Sanguinus is also 99% dead his soul might be alive as the Sanguinor or it could be all dead.
Vulkan, Khan, Lion, Guilliman, Corax, and Russ should never be explicitly killed in their physical forms, ever. They should also clearly retcon dorns death, he was a badass.

I would like to see the salamanders find all the clues/artifacts left by vulkan and he return to lead a whole new crusade / campaign against xenos, heretics and demons alike !

The great crusade is over, the Primarchs would have no purpose if they returned other than to serve as glorified chapter masters to marine armies that were a fraction of their former strength.

GW has actually been a bit clever with the Primarchs now. They've offered a whole new setting for the game (FW's HH game) that now opens up the possibility to play with primarchs on a regular basis. The once-inaccessible area that required a lot of bad fanfic , count-as rules, and/or special agreements between players has now opened up its gates.
