Just after opinions at this point but here goes.

I got a little, shall we say, "ambitious" with my ork nobz and decided to take there back story to a point that was WAY OTT.

So basically my army is made up of Orks who love anything with an engine, and to which they have built two trukks out of WW2 era american trucks one such example being the Mortar Motor Carriage from Dragon Hobbies (China).

Imagine that with not one, but two supershargers from 1/25 scale kits, placed on top of each other for maximum boost pressure!

So having done this, I rifled through my bits boxes (40k, 1/25 scale car bits, random houshold items) and came up with a plan.

Using this, scavenger / hotrod mantra, I began to take the 'eavy armour idea to a new level. Instead of shoulder pads being made from the usual orky stuff, why not use '32 ford fenders? instead of a breast plate, why not use half of a radiator? (with half of a radiator hose for good measure)

One such example even has a SM shoulder pad with a well placed hole in it for a helmet LOL

I mean they do look very orky and fit the idea well, but are they Nob-like enough? or are they a walking joke?

Opinions?

Pictures would help, just sayin'.

"Do you have a map of the cat?" - Richard Feynman

How to paint Skeletons the way I do if that's something you'd fancy trying.

Hurr! Ogryn Bone 'Ead!

The Frozen North

A well lit photo of the based/primed model would be just fine.

You say that I am crazy. I say that you are right!

Pics would help, especially of un-primed minis. Chaos black usually dulls them out until they're painted, but are still useful.

Well, this is what three of them look like. the rest were converted last night into what all of them will eventually end up looking like.

Here i substitued the power Klaw with what i imagined would be like a meat grinder / clamp thing, where the deff roller style grinders can also grip oponents before tearing them to shreds.

I also thought the basic Warboss looked dull and booring, so i delved through my bits box and made him up a twin-linked shoota using parts from a Space Marine dreadnaught. Note, these models are still all WIPs so progress is happening

Here's a shot of the worky gubbins on his back. What you see is a capacitor, powered by an AC Delco 12volt car battery and cooled by an apache helicopter tail rotor. Big I know but very orky

C&C is always welcome

That boss looks more like a mek than anything! Looks pretty good, except you should strip the paint off him if you're only using an old Warboss for the base model.

Lol that's actually the beginings of his final paint job :S

Loving the conversions on the first two! The crazy leg position on the second really gives it a scrapy mechanical look. With your warboss I would say get a bleach bone? (is that still a colour? havent painted in years) You can get a much more skull like colour with an underbase of bleach bone shading up to white. Or perhaps use a wash? White directly onto Black tends not to give a great effect.

Favourite Game: When your Warboss on bike wrecks 3 vehicles simply by HoW - especially when his bike is a custom monowheel.
