I wanted to start this thread for people to discuss, show, and offer suggestions for others interested in bringing their favorite animes to the battlefield. Let's see some pictures or plans for current, or future, projects. Also, what animes would work? Wouldn't work? Let's see the passion for the stuff you love and the games you love playing.
I'll start by saying that I am currently planning a tau army that is based off of several mech-based anime (yes, that means gundam too). I currently have a daemon army that is using small pokemon and digimon figures. It looks cool on the tabletop and usually livens up the place whenever they are dropped. I'll post pictures when I am able too. I will be playing with the yugioh heroclix when they drop, and I will be looking forward to any future anime releases for it.
P.S. It doesn't have to be whole armies, single units are cool too. Whatever you wanted to do and the anime inspired it. Future projects are included.

I suppose my Daemons kind of are since I was inspired by Dragonair when I made my flamers.
About as close as I've got so far. But one thing to remember is to not try to force your theme. Even just using something as basic as a colour scheme clearly taken from a show you like or an emblem can work and look far more effective than trying to put together some complex and far too busy troops. And if it's Gundam and Tau, go have a look at 7yler's thread. Has a bit of vocaloid thrown in there too and looks decent.

That is a really well done tau army. Your advice is good too. When I get to working on that army, my fire warriors are just going to be painted in a style that fits the style of FMP.
I can definitely see the dragonair inspiration in the flamers, I can dig it.

Not a whole army, but my Guard scout sentinels are based on tachikomas from Ghost in the Shell

That's cool. They will probably look even better fully painted and on the battlefield blowing stuff up.

I've always wanted to do a unit of Guard Vets based upon Trigun, with Vash the Stampede as the squad leader.

I had plans for halo based guard. I never really thought of an anime that would work with them. Guess I have something new to think about. Go for it killy it sounds like a good idea. Automatically Appended Next Post: I didn't get the ponytail comment until I thought hard about it. Then came the ahhhhhhh moment.
