Just hoping that any IG players on here could post up some pics of their armies. hoping to find some inspiration from paint schemes, conversions and themes to give me an idea of what i could try. hoping to start an IG army when i have some spare cash.

here's my stuff. Of course, this link is to that of my current battle reports series (which is the hottest thing on it right now), but there's a bunch of other stuff about my guardsmen on that as well.

Your one-stop website for batreps, articles, and assorted goodies about the men of Folera: Foleran First Imperial Archives. Read Dakka's favorite narrative battle report series The Hand of the King. Also, check out my commission work, and my terrain.

Following the tradition, my signature links to my painting blog. But here's a shot of most of the army, excluding some of the stuff that isn't painted up to my "modern" standards:

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

The First Concordian Armored

I must say it's moved beyond that somewhat - jettisoned much of the infantry, finished the tanks, acquired a Titan and more Baneblades, and another company of Leman Russ tanks, a Hydra squadron, a Thunderbolt, and a pair of Vendetta gunships.

One of the new Leman Russes requires painting, one of the Vendettas isn't primed, and two of the new Baneblades aren't finished either. Other than that though, its basically an expanded version of what you see there (with less infantry)

My army, the Cadian 11th, is almost traditional Cadian with a few twists.

The pic is two years old so I've added a few more painted models since then. I love the IG and have been tinkering with their models since the Eye of Terror codex was published.

Dakka blog is here: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/235660.page

Dakka photo gallery of finished minis is here: http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/images-12271-1787_Cadian%2011th%20Regiment%20%28Mechanized%29.html

Good luck with your army. Put the blog on Dakka and I will follow it. Sadly, most guard blogs stop all too early, but I keep them in my threads list for reference because every one has some neat tip or nuance of value.

The secret to painting a really big army is to keep at it. You can't reach your destination if you never take any steps.

I build IG...lots and lots of IG.

My guard.
The 91st Experimental.

Picture is rather dated. there are several units not in the picture. and yes the cat is part of the army. hes the most lethal if unpredictable unit...

Is this thread done?

That's a shame. I added all of these P&M threads to my subscribed list and I was hoping for more.
