I would like to see a compromise between free gamers who should be your rank and file soldiers and paying player who should get access to everything.
I hope the imperium of man has more than just marines.
I hope there ways to play tactically with some groups like sneaking into a complex or ambushing.
I hope it's not all run and gun but I hope it's something like space marine crossed with gears of war (knowing its 3rd person)

On a side note,
Given the time scale I have no doubt it's taken the already developed parts of dark millenium and is using them to complete the original idea in a new guise. 2 years isn't enough to develop a proper MMO, if they haven't acquire the work of dark millenium then this game is going to be sci-fi of duty ish.

I would like to see some space marines in black armor with white shoulder pads, a few cross emblems, and perhaps they might be lead by a dude with a 2-handed sword and a bad temper.

Or something.

From what I've heard, the Eternal Crusade MMO is starting with Marines, Chaos Marine, Eldar and Ork. I would love to see them add imperial guard, but I have no idea how that could be balanced. A space marine is better than a guardsman. Always.

The devs said in an interview that they are planning on eventually getting all factions except Tyranids in as playable. They excluded Tyranids because they are animals and it gives them an opportunity to implement large scale world events using Tyranids as the NPCs.

No matter what chapters/legions/craftworlds/clans are involved in the game, I would like to see both passive and active abilities based on that choice. If I choose to be a Black Templar I want to see some close combat buffs and abilities, if I choose to be a Speed Freak I want to see some vehicle speed buffs and abilities, etc.

Automated scripts that conjure characters labeled "Inquisitor" who executes and perma-bans players who behave like racist 12 year olds in public chat channels. Or who commit heresy in said channels.

But.... in all honesty? If it's a PvP-centric game with some minor PVE content to be used as a leveling mechanic, rather than for story-telling purposes... meh, I'll pass.

To be fair, the PvP element is used for story-telling purposes. How well they execute this will decide if I buy it or not.

Any source on that? I went to the website, which doesn't exactly have a lot of info at the moment. It didn't state what factions were in but it had quotes from four different factions. Three of them were obviously Marines, Chaos, and Ork, but the fourth sounded more like Necron.

Sounds like mostly scoot and shoot to me which I cannot imagine would captivate me for very long. Just combat sounds like "levelling" in FFXI which gets old fast when the novelty wears off.

Relying on other players to get your missions/quests sounds like autofail to me. If this game launches I predict they will have to change that, I just dont see it working at all.

If it is mostly just running around shooting and chopping up stuff then I will definitely take a pass.

Then that is auto-fail, because I cannot rely on another player in a PvP game to not speak like DerpyPony.

It's not a single person vs. a single person. Think EVE Online, where huge groups of players build corporations (or whatever they call it), and the 12 year olds were stuck mining all the time. The developers have even used EVE as an example to what the hierarchy will be like.

That being said, I hope this MMO is NOT like EVE, where if you're a new player you've got to spend months to do something more exciting than mining.

I would like to see Tau, but thats going to be down the road.

Not necrons, definitely eldar the sword looks nothing like a necron weapon. Plus they want people to understand the hierarchy pretty well before they add them becuase thier progression will be more confusing than some, or at least thats what he said in an interview.

What i REALLY want is the combat to be more skill oriented and less WoW style, meaning when i shoot a fool in the head it does more damage(think rending with a sniper rifle). Also a class system that wont let you use certain gear, like if you are a scout or ranger with some sort of camo or stealth tech than you're practically invisible, but i dont want everyone to be running around with Halo invisibilty all the time, that would be silly.

Tyranids will consume the universe!!! There is no chance for survival!!
.........eventually anyways.........

I've played EVE. The people running a lot of those Corps *are* 12 year olds from 4Chan. In fact, the fight that was recently populated on YouTube because it involved thousands of people was started by some of the 4Chan-like Corps.

Become a warrior from one of four initial factions, each unique and opposed to one another: Space Marines, Chaos Space Marines, Orks and Eldar.

I was hoping I'd be able to play as Tyranids

I'd like to be able to play an Imperial faction other than Space Marines.

Aside from that, I would like it to be a shooter, rather than an RPG, and one with a heavy emphasis on customization, both of your gun, your character, your armor, your voice...

It wouldn't be 40k without a strong melee component, IMHO.

So I would like to see a fairly capable melee system, as a Black Templar player that is important to me.

I don't want it to just be PlanetSide 2 with 40k guys, lol.

I can see how unique they are, when two of them are "Space Marines" and "Space Marines with spikes".

Space Marines should not be the yardstick by which your players judge the setting. Doing so diminishes both the Space Marines and everyone else. When a Space Marine shows up, it should be a sign that gak just got real, not just Bob coming back from his bathroom break.

I'd like a melee combat system as it was done in Drakan 1 (on the PC). No mindless clicking like all other melee systems :(

I'd like a very early Alpha access option- so I get a chance to play it before it becomes vaporware.

I'd like to see player constructed forts and defences, with consensual sieges. These sieges should be made desirable by requiring a certain number of sieges before certain upgrades are constructed. They should also be required to maintain fortresses- if a sector isn't hot, it will not be supplied the way a frontline are would.

Mostly though, I'd just like to play it.

Would like to see Deathwatch, that way it could keep everybody happy and it would appear to go with General lore. As being a Chapter Master (Guild Leader) for this game I really want to see what command features they will give so I can co-ordinate attacks and defense on the battlefield. I want to see some iconic stuff from the setting as well, how badass would it be to see mass scale air, armour and infantray combat taking place infront of you.

I reeeeeally want to see imperial guard being the normal rank and file npc support troops while the space marines act as the shock troops and aren't just swarming by the hundreds like the troops in planet side. I would like for the game to make some sense in fluff terms. I know it's asking a lot, but it would be nice.

on the forum. Obviously

A single player game that does require internet access, and does not have the chance of becoming unplayable once servers go down.

Now that I got that out of the way, having an load out system would be cool.
A research system would be nice as well. No idea how it would be implemented in a MMO though.
Oh, and not having to pay to be anything else other than an ork, nor having to pay to advance past a boy would be nice. Seriously, what a fething horrible idea.
