Lovely bright green there, cat's eyes were a nice touch too.
What sort of head tat were you thinking? I'm all for body art, but the wrong design on such a focal point as the head may detract from the overall look.

Nice, not convinced on the 3 moon one, although the longer I look at it the more it grows on me Quite like the idea of the crescent moon cradling a star, or possibly another symbol. Small and above one eye, or large with the base at the nape of the neck and the star on the forehead.

Hmm, 2 or 3 I'd say. The star with no moon works pretty well I think. Are these guys joining the chaos warband or are they on their own? (I've forgotten if you have mentioned )

They will have to join the warband as I only have 5 chaos squats and 2 scrunts and they would be a bit lonely. As for the tats number two would be the easiest so I might go for that as I know I can do it - Painting the old techpriest at the mo - blood red and ork skin wash so far. not sure at all what I'm doing - I'm hoping it'll fall into place

Those arms.... Those tendrils.... Hang on, I think that's a couple of ymargl genestealers wearing a squat costume.

He does look a bit like he could be somekinda squat/genestealer magus!! Maybe he is - genestealer cults would often join forces with chaos cultists according to RT rules on cults.

wow , that deep red is very mechanicus, he looks all corrupt and corrupting, with those baleful yellow eyes, sadly seeing , deeply staring , longing for his tortured bearings. Inky black with viscous fluids, draining through this soulful druid.Ponder logos of the maker, titan legions, Emperor breaker.
Toiling constant with rare fire, for , the ungod , false god liar.

I'm liking the bright colours on the squat. As for the tattoo I'm not so fond of the central ones, I prefer a bit of asymmetry.

I know the one - like a baseless pyramid with a circle on the apex. Well We'll jut have to wait and see what my brush hand decides to do when the time comes. I'm painting an orlock up as a mercenary/paramilitary dude at the mo. I find it hard to get around to picking up a model again once it is on the painted shelf - I think I need to put aside a day for improving finished models.

Yes that was a great little poem, thanks Neil, and it describes the tech priest well. He is a mysterious creature whos brain is no longer protected by a mere layer of bone and who's optic nerves are attached to nothing so crude as biological eyes. He appears to retain the form of a man but beneath his armour much is made from the superior strength of steel driven by sacred electronics which connect him to his machine self. He has embraced pure logic and surrenderd to the Omnissiah.
As for roughage I expect he longs for the day when he has finally shrugged of the mortal coil of his digestive system and runs on batteries instead...

Heres my orlock. He has a bad case of oversized gun syndrome. It looks like it would snap his wrist when he fires it. I don't really mind though as I think it works as a conversion.

Deamon painter weetyskeemian44 strikes again, with multyple minis painted in minutes! you really should do a speed painting tutorilal.
Like his skin tone! and the yellow compliments it as well!
i think the gun looks fine. but i do have a tendancy to make things that look good from a tabletop disatnce as opposed to macro camera shots. massive one handed guns just screem 40k to me . the necros are comming along nicely

I think a big part of it is I have almost zero distractions when I'm at home. No kids... so when my friends go home my hands need something to do or I get bored.
Washes are important too. Much quicker painting with washes so I can get basic colours done proper quick. And once you've started don't let it alone for any longer than it takes bits to dry. I do sometimes get a block when I can't decide what colour will work but I usually just go for it.
anyway good news, now my old boss is back and she has taken me off Sunday without my even having to ask and is gona try and get me Saturday off too. I suppose in thanks for my continuing support.

ahem, as i´ve read they fire smallish rockets, the actual bolt then... and these only get an initial energy release as to get the amo out of the gun... after that propulsion from rocket tech... and then penetration and explosion---> end of sad xeno...

well lets say I have less distractions than anyone with kids - when my nieces turn up nothing gets done except regular feeding and playing and a continual battery of questions. I think they should invent a robot who can answer children's questions.
What I mean is is that when I get home from all my distractions my time is my own to do with as I will, unless someone turns up at the door.
