German and dutch are almost the same, if i speak dutch, germans can understand about the half of what i say and vice versa.

I speak dutch, Flemish (trust me if you can speak dutch, you still can't speak flemish), English, French, and can make myself comprehensible in german.
Every inhabitant of belgium knows three languages. (Not that they're good at it, but they can say something)
