It took me a while to figure out that the casting gate was, in fact, the tiny bit in the top right, rather than the 80% of the pic in the centre. Yup, plunging new depths there

Already known what it is. You can see tire tread in the corner. It's a bike, probably Desperados.

Great?

It is still an absolutely craptastic 'sneak peek'!

It's in line with all of the other 'sniper shots' we get.

Can't you take a lot of those biker guys? Maybe I'll make a murican bike gang instead of an akira themed JSA bike gang...

Oh yeah so for those in the know... What am I supposed to actually do with the dismounted maverick model? I guess you can get off your bike to go into buildings? Haven't been able to absorb all rules yet.

I also find the marine+antipode an odd pairing. Both are really nice sculpts but put the very dynamic antipode next to the wolfman and it makes him look even more static.

Sorry tangents... Off to peruse my army lack book to start dreaming up biker gangs..

There's also an image on Giraldez's instagram account which looks suspiciously like TAG legs......

Personal request - can we leave the 'murica' crap out of this thread?

Thanks!

Yes. You can dismount during the course of a game to do various things, so it's nice to have an actual 'fig' to represent the biker, even if it's not 100% required (you could use some other fig if you wanted).

Also, you could use her as an HVT or even a Grunt stand-in, if you like.

That's it. Since there's Specialist profiles for Mavericks, occasionally it might be worthwhile getting off the bike to walk up some stairs to get to an elevated console, or walk through a narrow gate to get into an objective room.

And if they're Harleys, presumably they need to be able to dismount if they break down.

From the AG pic - could this be the Tikbalang?!

Seraph. We've seen the render and it's meant to be out this year.

Giraldez, via his Instagram confirmed that that is the Seraph he's painting.

Is the Seraph the one that's the basic chassis type as the Squalo ?

It was the same chassis as the Tikbalang and Uhlan, but apparantly it's going to be s7 while they are s6 so I'm not sure anymore. Although the most recent art for it had it the same as the other two still. The Cutter, Jotum and Dragoe are the same as the Squalo.

I blieve it's been confirmed that it's been retconned to not be on the sae chassis anymore. Whether that was because of the mess up with the sculpt size or pre-conceived I don't know. And to be honest I don't care, I just want my MO TAG.

Lol Alpharius I didn't realize it was a sore point for anyone, don't even care for it myself just trying to stay hip with the lingo as I get progressively older and more lame.

Thanks for the info about the biker/dismount, kinda what I had figured. If only playing for kills or not taking specialist biker, easily can stand in for a grunt, but if I take the forward observer(or whatever it is) its good to have the model (and probably in some rare cases like hunting spawn embryos that fell inside s building etc). Cool.

I don't really know what's going on, because it's been confirmed its S7, and it may have even been confirmed that it's a different chassis, but in the art for the three unreleased TAGs we were shown recently (only at GenCon) they were very clearly the same chassis, and the Seraph render matches the art we were shown, so at the moment they are still the same chassis looks wise. It's weird.

Gathering the Informations.

From what I have read, the reason behind it being S7 is because of the wings or something like that.

Yeah, that makes more sense than it being a different chassis while still looking exactly like it's based on the same chassis.

it's because it's physically bigger than S6. All you need to do is look at the render to see that it wouldn't fit on a 40mm base without being HI-sized.

Yes, that's fine and that makes sense. But then surely the other two will be then, because they're the same base model in the art.

It's not that it's S7 that I don't get, it's how it's a different chassis apparantly to the other two even though that clearly isn't the case in art for them that they very recently showed us.

Because the sculptor designed a pose that didn't work at the planned S6 size but the bosses liked the pose so much that it's getting bumped up to a different Silhouette than the others, and possibly a unit profile change to fit. :(

I'm not a fan of there ending up being two sizes of TAG with a lot of the same design elements rescaled, but it's got little or nothing to do with the wings.

It is the triumph of the Rule of Cool over the rules as previously written. I don't mind so long as the end result is better and doesn't prove disruptive to game balance.

The armbots are essentially enlarged dronbots, BTW.

Horrible story behind Seraph design. Have they at least hinted when his new rules will appear?
