Maybe we need a fan-driven FB page that does what this thread does: to keep a public record of the PB's lies where they can't delete it.

Maybe Forar can update us on his "It has been (x) days since (y)" info?
Because other than that, not sure what there is to report.
We did have a good run of hobby related posts in here though!
That was nice...

And at least I, will try to continue this trend. It´s the only (positive) thing we can do while reading so many lies week after week . There is quite a stream of hobby contents in facebook about RRT, and as stated, not everybody here likes facebook Keep the RRT hobby related stuff coming!

Let's look at the big board! Wow, the last time I did this on KS was May 25th?
Days since Wayne said he'd give us a full breakdown on the status of all the pieces: *356*
Days since the campaign was supposed to fully deliver: 911
Days since the campaign ended: 1,136
Days until the end of 2017: 552
We're nearly at a year since Wayne explicitly said that he'd pull together the status of every item.
"As for Wave 2, I’m working on a big breakdown of where each and every component is in its development, but that’s going to take some time. The short version is that some have been approved for tooling, some are still pending minor changes, and a couple are being reworked to reduce part counts while preserving detail. It’s going painfully slowly."
The obvious thing to read from this, imo, is that they basically have nothing to show. You'd think there'd be at least a Work In Progress if one were to take them at face value that 'reducing the parts count' was actually happening, but this seems (to me) to be a pretty tacit admission there's nothing to show beyond their 3D prints/prototypes from Adepticon. 3D prints don't have to obey mold restrictions (until it's actually a printed prototype of course), so I see that as evidence of little other than having the figure models themselves, which they've reportedly had for, what, at least 1.5 years?
Don't worry, things are heating/boiling (which of course leads to rapid evaporation of interest if they don't do something with all that steam and hot air they keep blowing), and surely they'll have something substantial to report in the next few weeks! They've been a mere week or two away from something big for like a year now! Apparently they're going by the same timetable that's used for Iran and having The Bomb (allegedly '1 to 2 years away' for like a decade and still going strong).
At this rate, humanity may actually go to war with an interstellar species before PB manages to figure out how to make another small-model (totally not a miniature, you know, because reasons).

The irritating thing is the stuff most interesting is how to get our hands on Wave 2 stuff with PB steadfastly not supplying them.
So we have to make our own.
The show and tell on that topic gets into shaky territory.
So, we will have to be content with painting and games reporting which is not a bad thing.

I posted a link on the PB forums about my rundown on the Master's Vs Earth Forces battle that I did and it was deleted within an hour, no comments or messages saying a word to me, just made to dissapear. Might be that NMI is upset that he is not allowed to be a member of the Nodal Wars group.....

Well, I have someone willing to make some minis specifically for the game.
I need a few artists for pics once we have some mecha designs.
Rules are being tested a bit. Although I need more.
By the time I see wave 2 I will likely have done a Kickstarter to print and sell the rulebook and already be working on some additional stuff like advanced rules.

Congrats on the progess and plans, Mike. I can see, however, why what effectively amounts to advertising a future competing set of game rules would be seen as inappropriate. You may want to avoid mentioning that part if you post battle reports there. Over here, though, that obviously isn't an issue.
Did you preemptively ban NMI from the group? Or did he do something to receive the ban? Of course if you use his own standards then just posting something moderately negative in tone would warrant a ban.

By the time he get's the message and composes a reply, it'll probably take the better part of a decade to get back to us.

Whether it happens in a hundred years or a thousand years or a million years, eventually our Sun will grow cold and go out. When that happens, it won't just take us. It'll take Marilyn Monroe, and Lao-Tzu, and Einstein, and Morobuto, and Buddy Holly, and Aristophanes…then all of this…all of this…was for nothing. Unless we go to the stars." Oh, I know that it would make them uncomfortable. I hope it does. Part of the reason I decided to go my own way. Once wave two comes out I hope everyone will be able to play it and use their minis......with Nodal Wars. I just need to build enough support and get the rules far enough along in the next three years it'll take them to possibly do wave 2.

oh NMI was not banned from the group. he was just not allowed into the group for various reasons, like Mikes, information he designed for the game being stolen by NMI and used by PB and such (you do realize Mike has done more work on the RRT game then most if any of the people at PB ?)

This is Palladium, dammit! The *CORRECT* traditional measurement of movement in space is therefore a Mach number even though it's a vacuum and the speed of sound doesn't apply. You take your Newtonian physics and keep it to yourself, young man!

it all depends on how fast sound travels in such constants, the speed of sound is always the speed of sound, what changes is not the speed of sound but the environment it is in.

MACH speed is probably not a good measurement of speeds as it is only relevant on Terra, or comparatively dense atmospheres. The speed of sound as measured in mph or kph isn't constant but varies depending on (but not limited to) the air pressure, temperature, and humidity of the air... all of which change with altitude on Earth let alone on different planets with completely different atmospheres. Don't make me think about the word adiabatic for the first time in 15 years! It's a horrible metric to use in space (and probably a horrible joke to make in the thread) but one Palladium continues to use because spacetime has no meaning around Kevin Siembieda. He is able to, by the awesome power of his mind, bend spacetime to his will so that three year production delays (i.e. 1000+ days on a project that was supposed to start production in its entirety in 40 days) have no meaning let alone significance. A simple misuse of measurement is but child's play to him.

The speed of sound is not an absolute constant, it is dependent on the conditions of the medium that is carrying the vibrations.
All speed is just a measurement of relative motion between two or more objects.

speed of sound is a constant, it is not always the same rate in different environments, but in each of those environments it is the same. just like the speed of light is not always the same speed since gravity and other forms effect it too.

Question, have you created a thread for Nodal Wars in the Game Design section?
At a high level, it sounds like you are making not-Robotech for Robotech minis, in the same way I am making non-Heavy Gear for Heavy Gear minis. Personally, I find having a game design blog to be a great help in documenting and organizing my thoughts on what I want to do with the game.

Rick is a physicist, now.
"Speed" is not a measurement independent of the environment or what you are measuring it against.
There is no constant speed of sound since the speed of sound is entirely dependent on what it is moving through and who is observing it.
What is commonly discussed as the speed of sound is how fast sound moves through dry air at sea level on Earth relative to a static observer.

ok then look at it this way, here on earth in the open air is the speed of sound constant? also another thing to remember its not how fast the sound is going that is reflective of the speed of sound, but how fast sound is (yeah its a brain twister), hence the sound barrier, as it goes the speed of sound is reflective of location, if you are on say a planet with no atmosphere hence no sound or even in space, is the speed of sound relevant? ignoring space is noisier then many realize.
as far as atmospheres there are many here on earth, when you go scuba diving the further down you go the more atmospheric pressures you pass thru, also when you go mountain climbing, the atmosphere here on earth is not constant. and yet the speed of sound is?
