Hey guys I am looking for ideas on things I can use as sonic blasters, I want instruments of sorts but I cannot find anything I like other than guitars which I don't want a whole unit of guitarists, 1 or 2 sure but not 10.

I have seen these but it doesn't really suit now does it? So after seeing this thread http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/417387.page I was thinking of grabbing some guns and sticking the heads I have left after making my rhino (the ones off the vehicle pack) and either cutting off the ends of meltaguns (but this still means giving GW money) or a mix of these 2 guns and placing the dragon heads on them instead.


What do you guys think is better or can you send me links for better things?

I will be using the maxmini sonic heads instead of the GW ones for the chaos warriors.

It's a pity that I'm guessing you want to kit-bash/convert your Noise Marines - FW are set to bring out a unit of Emperor's Children Kakophonii (The Original Noise Marines) in the next few month's or so. Just something to think on...

@btldoomhammer - Where did you get the close-ups? I haven't seen that pic on Forge World yet and I'd hate to think I'm missing out

If you can afford it FW ones are the best I have ever seen, save for the guitar/bass conversion some one made once. (Sorry I don’t remember who) but as far as serious goes these guys are the best bye far.

I'm kinda interested what their backpacks are looking like. They look rather basic from the pictures but i expect at least some noise themed details on them.

I doubt judging by the rest of the marines, that they'll be too Slanneshi yet. I think they are depictions of Noise Marines at Isstvan V - so they've only just got their hands on the instruments. I do wonder if subsequent HH models (Aside from the backlog ones from Betrayal) are going to get more and more Chaotic or if they'll keep with the general Imperial theme for all Legions until the end of the HH range (And possibly the beginning of a new range - The Scouring perhaps?)

My brother chopped the vents off the extra mountain of marine backpacks we had.

He then carved the bolters down to a basic case shape with out the clip, muzzle, etc. Glued the vent where the muzzle was for the "speaker" and added a bunch of cabling with one of those green stuff press tools.

I liked how they turned out.

IDK i would say the guy on the left with the speakers coming out of his face looks pretty choas to me lol

only thing missing is a chaos smybole and honstly i dont think any ones is NOT gonna know who thouse two belong two lol

@Slipnotzim - Good point - I've only seen the pics on Forgeworld and they aren't close ups. It's only as I take a second look at these close-up's, now that you've pointed it out, that I see the speakers are grafted into the face. I guess we will be seeing more and more evidence of mutation in the traitor FW models!
