Greetings, I read some fluff last night that dealt with Horus/Primarchs finding Nostramo and finally greeting the Night Haunter for the first time. While reading it it was obvious most of the Primarchs were weirded out/stunned/disgusted/afraid, "Fulgrim alone smiled at him"

I was just wondering, where in Fulgrims quest for perfection does he find it cute to smile at Curze?

If a slash fic is born out of this thread I am going to become an axe murderer, I swear to the flying spaghetti monster.

Dang... I came to this thread *just* for the slash-fic potential.

It's like a train wreck, I couldn't *not* look at it!

This. I also admit a bit of lurid potential horror at the remote possibility that it wasn't only going to be slash fic, but CANON slash fic.

It doesn't have to be bad news folks, despite it being on the Internet...

I presume you've never been to Tumblr or Fanfiction.net.

Giving those segments of the internet fuel never ends well.

frowning uses 6 more muscles than smiling and he needed to keep up his strength for his childbearing years.

Well, if you look at the night lords' methoids, it's just one step to the left of Slaaneshi methods. Isn't Night Haunter kinda bishounen-ish too? In that creepy goth kind of way. *shrug*

Except this was before they were corrupted. The Night Lords also eschew the Chaos Gods and prefer to just be pirates and renegades.
Fulgrim may just see Kurze as another individual seeking perfection. It is his thing after all, not necessarily being perfect but seeking perfection.

Just wondering how did Fulgrim NOT show up at the whole screaming gallery thing. Was it a snub or was he just mad that someone outdid him.

Ok i'll just say what everyone's thinking

Its because fulgrim liked "bad guys" especially ones who were dark and mysterious.

Fulgrim i'm sorry Curze, I just wanted to help you with your nightmares.

Curze: its ok, normally I skin people alive for betraying me but I know you just wanted to help.

Sevatar: man you guys are gay.

And so Sevatar was forced to paint his hands the red of a sinner, not for calling to primarchs gay, but for making Fulgrim cry.

My theory is that Fulgrim saw this savage, a Primarch, as a chance to make him "Fulgrim Jr." Mould him to fit Fulgrim's image and love of art, music and culture and perfection. Literally a blank slate. All the other Primarch's had their own culture and heritage from their upbringing but here was a sort of "Tarzan," a wild, uncivilised creature to be taught the civilised ways. Parrallels can be drawn to European settlers with the Native Americans. They saw them as uncouth barbarians that could be taught, but in both cases, Europeans and Fulgrim didn't realise they already had a culture (of sorts in the case of Curze, with his need for bloody Batman justice).
