Hey guys just wondering what you think of this army, I usually go with my Archon but want to try a more shooty list using my Eldar with it.
HQ:
Baron Sathonyx 105pts
Elites:
Trueborn: 2x SC, Venom (Night shields, SC) 131pts
Trueborn: 2x SC, Venom (Night shields, SC) 131pts
Troops:
Hellions: 10, Helliarch w/stun claw 175pts
Kabalite warriors: 10man, splinter cannon, raider (Night Shields, Splinter wracks) 180pts
Kabalite warriors: 10man, splinter cannon, raider (Night Shields, Splinter wracks) 180pts
Heavy Support:
Ravager:3x DL, Night Shields 115
Ravager: 3x DL, Night Shields 115
Voidraven: 2x Void Lance, Flickerfield 155
Eldar Allies
Farseer: jet bike, singing spear 120pts
Troops:
Dire Avengers: 5x, Wave serpent( Scatter Lasers, holo fields) 200pts
Heavy Support:
WraithKnight: 2x WC 240pts
ok I am going to run my farseer with the Baron and the hellions. I want to use the Wraith knight with my ravagers as anti tank and the Knight will tie up opponents if needed. I want to use him but I may replace the knight with another wave serpent.

Not to put a downer on them, but Hellions are simply not a good unit. They are an assault unit with better shooting then assault, with no armour save worth a dam and a barely passable stat line without good drugs rolls. They are out shined in almost everyway combat wise by the cheaper beast master squad, which works better with the Baron and Farseer then Hellions ever could. By dropping the hellion unit you can get a beast pack with 3 beast masters, 8 khymerae and 3 razorwing flocks. That's 16 more wounds then the Hellions, more strength 4 attacks pumped out by just the Khymerae then there entire unit, better AP in rending and a better save with khymerae. Not to mention that they work far better with psykic buffs then the hellions do, with more attacks to take advantage of prescience and doom and a better save to make use of fortune. All that for 2 pts more. Also adding these points up, they only seem to add to around 1900pts, was this intentional it? Its a weird point value.
If you wanted to get to 2k then you should add a biker squad to make up the troop choice you have lost, and maybe swap out a Ravager for a fire prism with holofields. Much more survivable. If you wanted 1850 then you'd probably have to lose the nightfields across the board. I would agree knight is better then serpent, strength 10 is scary.

I messed up and put the baron at 150*, he is actually 105 lol my bad, but yes I know they are a better shooting unit but they are troops. so I can use them as such. i usually would never use Hellions. so maybe i will look into the beast masters, or just add some wind riders for my Eldar. i'm thinking i want a fast unit to put them all together with so i can move them across the map to support wherever they are needed. i'm not planning on them getting into assault unless it is direly needed. but i will definitely try some beast out.

I agree about dropping the hellions for a beastpack. Hellions only work well when you have 15+ and the baron. At 10, they are just too few to matter or survive. A beastpack is fast and dangerous in combat, while having the ability to survive gunfire. As Alex stated, the beastpack makes better use of the baron and farseer.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

Even at 15 with baron the poor old hellions cop a beating too easy. If you could get windriders for some troops and take a beast pack for the baron I think that would work out better. I think the WK is a solid choice, its a big scary target that should draw fire away from your more fragile units.

That's true, I love my Wraith Knight and I usually just run a tough Dark Eldar list with Eldar allies. Beast may be in the future purchase for me. The Hellions are a bit too squishy.

For Eldar allies, I recently allied in a pack of Hellions(14 + Baron) as the mandatory troops and honestly, as such, they work great. And as I am playing Iybraesil Craftworld(or something along those lines) and my stories usually revolve around raiding the Crone Worlds for Spirit stones, Dark Eldar outcasts helping their kin to spite Slaneesh seems very fluffy.
I also want an all-foot army, so Hellions are the way to go for me, cos I don't need to buy the mandatory troops choice in a Venom or Raider for Dark Eldar, in addition to the Beastpack that I'd want instead of the Hellions.
But if I was a Dark Eldar primary player, I'd certainly go for the Beasts. They seem a great unit.
Oh and btw, I really would love it if DE had such an effective cheap scoring unit like Windrider jetbikes that I could ally in for the Baron and the pack. Honestly, allying Eldar is the easiest thing ever in this edition. Farseer + 2x3 WRJ and you're set! Lucky bastards.

Liking this list. Hellions are tricky to use I found. But if you can pull it off then worth it. Still trying to figure it out myself

The problem is T3 and low leadership. Once they fail, they might be gone for good.
I'd go for Warriors all the way. They can get heavy weapons and rank low on the enemy priority target schedule.

I tried it out they did, Meh. I used another list with the Baron and some Splinterborn, 2x Venoms (1 Splinter born, 1 warrior) and some wytches in a raider....Performed great as an ally especially when your True born Wound on a 3+ it was dirty, the Dark Angel player was swarmed.
