I'm in a unique position of hating both teams.

Screw the Cardinals, because their the Cardinals and they deserve to get screwed. And screw Boston for beating Detroit.

And our shortstop flubbed an easy double-play.

Alrighty i got me a question. Now I'm going to assume you guys are talking about gridiron, which could well be my first mistake.

If it's a sport really only played in the US why is it called the world series?

It's the baseball World Series it has players from 9 different countries... They just happen to play in the biggest baseball league in the world that happens to be in America.

Wainwright 5 IP 5runs ouch ;(. Nice for the sox to get into STL's pen though. Should help the snowball effect, glad the cards seem to have settled in though. No one wants a 1 sided affair unless your a total homer haha.

STL's pen is actually a strength.

Yah I agree the cards pen is a strength. But the sox want to grind that strength down. They're doing a good job by forcing them to start pitching in the 6th inning of game 1 though is all I meant.

Why Arent you cards fans bringing up the fact wainwright and carpenter themselves have admitted to doing stuff like this? And if it's such a big deal don't you think matheny who was a CATCHER FOR 15 YEARS. Would have noticed it and brought it to the refs attention? And was this the reason the cards gave up 8 runs and made 5 errors? Honestly it makes cards fans that are screaming about this seem pretty petty.

Yeah... they're saying no biggie.

Even the GM stepped in saying he had no issues.

But, man that last gif where lester touches the ball? Looks bad.

Then again, if it's only to ensure "grip" on the ball in the cold weather. MLB said that's fine. In fact, if you want to cheat... the ball needs to be wet, not dry.
