So, I'v decided to keep and expand my Necron army and I was trying to decide what to buy next for it. I was thinking a box of wraiths, Or maybe a Monolith.. Or some Immortals.. Anyways, What I have already is
32 Warriors
10 Deathmarks
Overlord
Destroyer Lord
5 Lychguard
Triarch Stalker
Annihilation Barge
Doomsday Ark

Maybe another 5 Lychguard.. Any sugestions are welcome! ^_^

I recommend checking out Forgeworld, they produce some cool Necron stuff, it just depends on f your gaming group accepts Forgeworld minis or not.

With that list of what you currently have, I would say one of the following:

A Night Scythe (great transport for deathmarks)
Lords and Crypteks (they can provide some great boosts to your units)
A Ghost Ark (great transport and utility vehicle for your warriors)
Another Annihilation Barge (because they are one of the best vehicles in the game)

Pile of Necron Spare Parts

I would definitely go for Canoptek Wraiths

I played against a guy with a 3 units of Wraiths in his Necron force and they are REALLY annoying. They just lurk about and assassinate your units if you don't pay attention to them. They are not particularly hard to take down ( 3+ Save ), but yes, I would recommend Wraiths.

I would go for scarabs and spyders. They'll give you much better anti CC/CC capabilities to protect the blobs.

No. You better take 2 more ABs, 12 Wraiths, and a couple of Night Scythes.

I would suggest this.
It's the perfect add-on for any Necron army, and the best thing is, despite being FW, there is no reason your opponents should not allow it.

Unless you try to use the actual rules for it. Then they might complain.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

To go with that list, Im going to say either some Air Support or some Lords to support your troopers.

I agree with the wraiths. I have twelve wraiths and they are just sick in CC. Buy a box of praetorians/lychguards and build them all to be Necron Lords with warscyths , then buy another box and use your left over wraith heads to build 5 crypteks. You gain like a 1000 points into your army for $45.00 USD.

Purchase Varguard Obryen, attach him to three tomb spyders, and have a scarab swarm handy. Use the veil of darkness to teleport your tomb spyders around supporting the scarabs. This tactic is especially hated.

Don't discount the monolith. I hate my model, but its abilities are over the top. I have been debating getting night sythes vs. monolith and am leaning towards monoliths (plural) becuase they are soooo sick.

WAB Ancient Israeli (Canaanites) 2500 points
WAB English 100 Years War (3000 points).

Seriously? What about the OP list of models makes you think they want a wraithwing? Or that they have a huge chunk of cash?

@OP, thing with wraiths is that you really need a unit of 6, so 2 boxes, and they are expensive. A unit of three won't do them justice - they'll die too fast to shooting and won't do much in CC if they get there. A unit of 6 wraiths would fit well into your current models no doubt, as you have a distinct lack of counter CC (or CC). however, Scarabs and spyders do the same thing and I think are more fun to play, but ymmv.

I think that some crypteks would help (or additional lords as others have suggested) in which case another box of Lych and a box of warriors would be useful. This is because you can easily kitbash lords or crypteks from the Lych/Praet kit (assuming you build Lych or Lords from the Kit). Take Praet heads (or deathmark heads if you have any left over) then use the leftover preat bits on warrior legs and chests to create Crypteks. Harbringers of Despair with a veil of darkness would make your deathmarks much more effective. Harbringers of Destruction would give you S8AP2 shots (with the possibility to get precision shots!).

Looking at the list of models you have, it seems that a silver tide approach with many walking warriors is your forte. Another alternative to consider is a ghost ark - that would be a fantastic complement to your warrior squads.

Another Triarch stalker would suit you well, as would 5 lychguard, another lord and maybe a cryptek.

Please ignore the meta fools trying to make you buy units.

4 Monoliths, then buy the FW Realm of Battle Necron Tomb World table.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Or whatever unit you don't have that you really want. But I mean come on, 4 Monoliths, they're like Voltron, they only get better the more there are.
