The front page of the news and rumors section is over 50% kickstarter threads. While announcing a kickstarter is news, the whole crowd-funding thing has kind of taken over the news and rumors section, making it harder for somebody who is more interested in news and rumors, but not crowd-funding to get to threads they are interested in. There is certainly enough interest in kickstarter threads to merit it's own section, and it may make things easier for both the people who are only interested in rumors or only interested in KS to have a separate place to go for threads.

I agree, especially as they continue after the the campaign and can last a long period of time.

This has already been answered by Lego and Yak numerous times so I'll step in for them.

They will always stay on the side of having to few forums than to many, and like it or not, the kickstarters ARE news about the wargaming community and as such are relevent to the N&R forum.

The best you will likely see is some brave dakkaites willing to create 'index' threads by game system/publisher and no more.

Bingo you say... Ouze if i didn't know better id almost suspect you of trying to find levity in an exasperating repeat of is an already dead and flogged topic.

I think Metalokalypse summed this up rather well with their Pickles nickels.
"Use Pickles nickels guys. Nickels is money too you know."

So in essence, "Use the N&R forum guys. Kickstarters is news too you know!"

Also gratz on 10k posts.

Not counting stickies, I count 15 crowd-funding threads, and 33 that aren't. That's a fair way from 'over 50%....

Sorry, but this shows a fundamentally odd outlook on just what all those Kickstarter threads are actually for.

By and large, they have two things in common: They're wargaming related, and they're on Kickstarter. The actual range of different projects though would make shunting them all off into their own subsection just downright weird.

A miniature gaming related Kickstarter is no less newsworthy than any other pre-release miniature wargaming related news.

Once a campaign has finished, the thread should be shifted to the relevant discussion forum, as it's no longer news.

If you come across one that hasn't been moved, hit the mod alert button, as we've probably just missed it.
