The tactic is obvious I would say.
Deploy all the trukks in a "surround the Big Meks trukk" formation in most cases, scout the deffkoptas, move all out turn one, poke at the enemy with the deffkoptas/big gunz/lootas, turn two charge some people and IF any trukks survive, use them to tankshock fools around. The Nobs are there to either draw alot of fire early on (making the trukks somewhat safer), or roll around Deathstar-ing units if they survive (and they are tough as nails)

There was a discussion I started on the Tactica part of the forum on the subject (Nob Bikers deathstar vs MANz in trukks misles), and in the end I went for the Nob Bikers (for now, both ideas seem awesome to me)

For upgrading the list I am thinking up the count of the nob bikers by 1-2, add another deffkopta, and up the count of the lootas and big gunz in their respective squads, maybe if there are some extra points leftover, use them to get a small squad of grots to hold backyard objectives

It is a heavily themed army, and I do try to be somewhat competetive-minded
What do you guys think of it so far? What would you change ?
Do share your thoughts

I like it- I would love to have the models to run a list like this, it looks like a blast.

One thing, I might swap a unit of 5 Lootas to put another kannon in each of those groups. I feel like another 3 S8 BS3 shots would be more reliable antitank then 5-15 S7 BS2, and gives you options vs armor 12. More survivable too. But I also have an anti-loota bias, for no real reason.

Overall- very orky.

Looks fun. The only thing I see is the Lootas: being in groups of 5 means that 1 casualty is a morale check and orks have low~ish leadership, I would either combine them or take Daisy's advice and grab some extra cannons, though lobbas are a preference of mine.

Personally Id combine two of the loota squads and look to add another box to the other soon, 5 man squads if they dont die under pressure are likely to run away anyway
otherwise looks good, needs a lot more orks, but no ork armies ever complete

Why no trukks painted red?!

No red paintjob on the trukks because I dont like spending extra points on them since they are expendable past turn 1, and even without the red paintjob they fly across the board (24 inch flat out + free pivot)
the biggest reason why the Lootas are in squads of 5 is splitting fire, and besides if they get shot at, they will lose more then 2, so their survivability is not increased if they are in squads of 7 imo. This way a single squad of 5 is more expendable
I am going to increse the number of lootas to 9 each at higher point games, but the main focus of the army is speed, the lootas and big gunz are there as supporting fire

Solid for 1500 pointz..and a solid plan for upgrading from 1500 to larger games ..(Lootas work best in groups of 5,9 or (rarely) 15) ..
Only issues I see is your ability to deal with Combined Arms Guard..every thing else you should be able to handle readily..

Yeah I know, but any army imo has its counter.
This is made to be good in a field where everyone seems to be shooty but cant keep up in CC with boyz too well.
I expect to see both Tau and Eldar mostly with this list, and some shooty SM/CSM lists, all of which are good against a green tide, but dont like getting into CC so fast or at all.
On the other note, I totally agree with your comment on Lootas,
This list is probably weak against AV14 aswell, but what Ork list isnt these days xD
