I really like how Leman Russes look. Especially when they have their sponsons equipped. But, as everyone knows sponsons are a terrible use of points on an ordnance Russ, so you don't put them on. However, without them they look a tad silly imo. Would you mind if your opponent modeled the sponsons onto a Leman Russ that didn't actually have any, as long as they left the gun mount empty to signify the lack of sponsons?

As long as I know what's there, no problem by me.

Having four of them with sponsons glued firmly on all of them, I couldn't care less if my opponent thinks they should be modelled without them if that's the way they are played. My warbarbies, my rules...if my opponent bought my models for me, then they could dictate that to me, otherwise, tough!

But then I don't play in tournaments where that isn't acceptable, nor would I...but if I had thought when i was building them, I probably would have magnetised them instead...too late now though...I think what you suggest is a good compromise though.

It should be fine so long as they're either all equipped with sponsons or all aren't in the list, mixing and matching between tanks with the weapons modeled on would get confusing.

I do this on the off chance I run LRBTs. I don't see any issue in it other than the fact that it looks a little weird.

As long as you remember if the tank is (or is not) armed with them then im fine.

most of mine have sponsons attached but never use them. If say 1 tank out of the rest actually is going to use its sponsons then ill mark it either with a piece of tape or some marking or will writing it down.

If there are no weapons on them, the sponsons hanging on the side really don't make any difference.

Sponsons are there, but ran out of bullets. What is the problem?
Still WYSIWYG.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

Haha, that a good call! Actually, I think I am going to see if i can snap off those sponsons and magnetise them now...if I ruin my tank, I'm blaming you guys though!

One option is to make the sponsons look damaged, for example, by weapon's fire. This can range from a ripped of barrel to a mere few holes.
