I've been having trouble uploading a few photos.

When Dakka processes them it rotates them 90degrees and messes with the colours.

i.e this...
Spoiler:
I can't figure out how to fix it. It only happens when I take pics of those particular models. Anything else uploads fine and dandy.

Anybody know what the devil is happening?

I can't even get the picture to load here on my iPad, however, did you upload from an iOS device? I believe Lego has said that there is a problem with the auto rotate feature on iOS devices that causes this problem.

Was this taken and uploaded with an iphone?

Please could you email the original file from your phone to machinegod@dakkadakka.com

From there, I'll be able to debug more thoroughly.

Thanks

The photos were taken with a Canon Powershot sx100 camera and uploaded from my PC with no form of editing done. There was nothing Mac products involved.

I'll email you the photos that are giving me the problems.

Lego, you are an absolute legend. I did what you suggested and it worked like a charm.

Cheers mate.

I got a similar issue. Uploaded a photo through my iPhone and it ended up being pretty funky colored. Deleted it in the gallery and emailed myself the file and uploaded it via desktop but got the same results.

E-mailing you the file.

Took another picture the same way, got the same problem.

Went back and took a picture in landscape instead of portrait, uploaded without any problems...

I had a similar issue with a few pics the other week - I've deleted the originsl files now so can't email you them unfortunately. In each case it was one out of a group of similar pics that uploaded with 'inverted' colours as per d-usa's pic.

Yeah D, that's the exact same problem I had with mine.

I'll tell you guys what Lego told me.
Just to open the offending photos in any photo editing program and then just re-save it.

I did just just that and it worked like a charm.

I uploaded one of then to Facebook and then uploaded it to the gallery from there and that seemed to have helped as well.

Re-saving then re-uploading is indeed the best temporary fix for the time being. I'll get the bug squashed as a priority though.

Any word on the bug where if you try to upload several images at once from an iphone it just uploads one of the images several times?

Still on my list AduroT, but not one I've been able to personally verify as I cant replicate with my ipad and dont own an iphone. I will get around to it though - it is on my todo list still.

Thanks
