Now all we need is someone to write us a nice ruleset.

The community should be creative enough to handle this

Thoughts?

Minis look good.
As for rules how about each player rolls up a handful of sci-fi gurps characters, buys equipment from some set arbitrary number, and then battles it out skirmish style? The fallout SPECIAL system was originally a tweaked GURPS ruleset anyways.

Very nice miniatures. Now we just need some sort of rules.

Brother Vinni has a news thread here.

As for rules, the Action Engine used by 7TV works like a charm if you want something for the tabletop.

Check this thread for more info on just that: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/563579.page

Really nice miniatures! I have one of the Brotherhood guys and a super-mutant and the sculpting quality is top notch. Very fine detail it's quite a hard resin (with no distortion), very reasonable price. Even the P&P is cheap, considering that it was Russia -> UK.

Only criticism I could really make is that I wish he would do more Brotherhood sculpts!

Are they going to do character figures or just power armor and creatures? I'd love my mohawk sporting latina chick with a pneumatic gauntlet.

He's one guy in Russia making these things without a license. If you ask him personally (he does post here, as seen in his news thread) you might be able to get an idea, but he hasn't stated anything for upcoming releases. He recently put out some XCOM Mutons though, and they're neat.

The Wreck Age rule set is great for post apoc action. I plan on using it for Fallout themed games (with Brother Vinni's minis to boot!) and it definitely captures the feel of the Fallout series. I especially like the weapon malfunction mechanic that Wreck Age offers.

Gotta keep those firearms maintained if you want to be a wasteland survivor!

Looks great! It'd be interesting to see how a NCR Veteran Ranger in their sexy gear would look in Mini-form. Or hell a chainsaw wielding Caesar's Legion Centurion...*drools*

I'd be tempted to use Urban War rules for Fallout games.

If the thought of something makes me giggle for longer than 15 seconds, I am to assume that I am not allowed to do it.

There were basic TTG rules that came with my Fallout collection CD (since passed on to someone else, as two of the games refused to install - missing a key file).

Are these licensed from Bethesda or is the sculptor kind of under the table and hoping the company doesn't notice?

I know that the original PC games were available on Good Old Games, but were eventually removed, so Bethesda might be a bit controlling of their IP?

The sculptor is in Russia, so he can generally ignore IP issues.

Personally, I think this is one of those 'IP infringements' that most people wouldn't care about
- There is a very low probability of an officially licensed miniature game or miniatures coming from Bethesda
- These miniatures are awesome, and do nothing to harm brand image
- The money made from this venture must be very small when compared to the millions made from the computer games.

I'm not sure whether the general conception of IP in Russia is the same as that in China, i.e. that ideas exist within nature, and our own conceptualisation of them is simply a reflection and cannot therefore be owned (as I've had it explained to me), or whether it's just someone sat at a computer saying the Russian equivalent of 'lol' and hitting the delete key when the C&D email arrives. And, knowing full well that Siberian tundra, some part-feral dogs in the compound, and an AK-47 lie between that lawyer and him stopping you from making miniatures in your garage.. (not to use too many clichés.. )

I know jack all when it comes to international IP laws, but I always figured it was closer to your second example. But, again, I'm not an authority on the matter.

Nutz, I thought this was models I hadn't seen. Boo hiss!

Vinni takes commissions in case anyone wants him to make anything for them. I'm assuming that his whole Sandlot range to date is based on these. Allowing your commission piece to be sold on his webstore drops its price. Though I will say that you'll need to dump "a bit" of dosh if you're wanting to go down that route.

Messyart is making models from the franchise too, though focussing more on the mutants and robots, as well as just general weapons and upgrade sets. He's currently released a Deathclaw miniature that you can get a hold of by contacting him over on the Lead Adventure forums (you'll need to make an account first and wait for approval, though its a quick process). His current projects are varied, but expect a Securitron. Super Mutant and Mirelurk King to be released soon (though his current work schedule's effecting his progress a tad).

A Deathclaw model by him which I reposed and painted. Look into his DeviantArt gallery or Lead Adventure current sculpting roster thread for WIPs.
Spoiler:

I'll also recommend that you look into the PA ruleset thread over there for suggestions on what to play with (as BrookM has mentioned already, 7TV is a choice one - though I'm using my own modified version of it), and the Fallout Miniatures thread too (which I've been meaning to dump a load more links into). The whole Post Apocalyptic board there is packed with Fallout inspired threads.

But here on Dakka I'll say have a look at these threads if anyone's interested interested.

Dave's new Hobby Adventure thread - dsteingass' long ass thread. Sleuth a bit and you'll find that he goes onto a Fallout phase with lots of nice terrain and minis (...much better painted that mine)
Fallout, it's a wild wasteland out there! - BrookM's thread. Fluff is emphasised, with there being plenty of neat vehicle conversions in there. Mind and prob him though to post more crap in there from me though.
Taarnak's Projects - Taarnak does some impressive sculpting. Of late he's been chucking up some Fallout sculpts that may interest people (youknow, if you're the type that just eats up anything to do with the franchise)
Fallout: Heading East - And err my one. ...Its a tad spammy in its content, but its holding the (self appointed) award for the largest (known) bunch of Fallout models on the internet. *Gloat

*Sorry if I missed any recent Fallout threads FYI. They're just those which I'm aware of/haven't forgotten about in my sugar deficient state.

And knowing's half the battle kids!
