I thought it was from the necromunda line but couldn't find it, sorry about the bad pic. Thanks!

Old metal catachan officer model. When Catachans had character and didn't look like bobble headed freaks.

Although on consideration, I think he was actually the Captain... the Lieutenant was slightly less portly, with a forage cap and a shotgun.

No, that is the lieutenant. The captain was wannabe 'Commando' Schwarzenegger with a power fist. Fattus McButterbars was a Cadian.

I love how closely it matches house Delaque from necromunda, I am using them as warrior acolytes. Do you guys think it matches pretty good?

I always check these, even though I rarely know what the model is, because it always queerly pleases me to see someone identify it within 5 to 10 minutes. You guys are kind of amazing.

I hope you don't mean this guy!
Spoiler:

I always thought the 'portlyness' was related to the style of the carapace armour. I figured it must have some kind of convex belly plate. Either that or the imperial guard had a much less grueling fitness regime back then.

It's a fairly good match. The imperial emblems make it less Delaque'ish, but if you're not using them as Delaque then it doesn't matter. Even if you do, gangers pickup bits of kit and armor from wherever they can get it.

I like these threads, because they always have something really old in it. Unfortunately, this thread just made me feel old as I remember when that mini came out. Still have the WD issue as well!

Anyway, he does make a great Necromunda mini. Wonderful Orlock leader.

In the catalogs he was always listed as Captain: http://www.solegends.com/citcat1998/1998P315-01.htm

But it's not like he couldn't be used as a lieutenant, if you wanted.

Funny, back in the day, I used the Catachan Sergent as my Orlock leader (the one with the chainsword, and eye patch). I modeled dreadlocks on him with GS, and painted them in all florescent colours because I wanted my gang to be like the street gang from Batman Forever (a new film at the time).

I’ve got that guy sitting on my shelf. When I think about the top ten minis I’ve done where I’m happy with the results, he’s on the list. Fun model, lots of character, and I didn’t screw him up that bad with the paintjob. Which is saying something, since he’s been collecting dust for around two decades...

The figure isn't actually especially "fat" - he's got carapace armour under his flowing vest - including a lower torso plate. The Cadian on the other hand only has the chestplate, and the lower torso is his gut...

Power fist guy was released a couple of years later.

Yeah, I have quite a few Catachan models scattered through my Orlock gang. They're a close enough fit that it's not really that noticable once they're painted in gang colours.

I used that model as a base for my favorite conversion I have ever done

I always liked it because he had carapace armour clearly modeled on him.

I actually want the fat shotgun guy personally myself

Think probably about £6-7, although actually in context of what a single character costs these days that isn't very much!

I think the highest I've got is about £30-35 for some of the more rare Necromunda minis (old bounty hunters etc.), and that was after I'd had to knock off the top few Russian bidders - the game obviously still has a good following.

Necromunda figs do seem to fetch some of the highest prices for non-limited-edition, regular production GW miniatures post-1990. I think the fact that the game still has a following, the relatively unique style, and the shorter production runs than many other GW figures really comes together to boost the price of these figs. It doesn't hurt that some of the sculpts are really great with oodles of character.

Puts alot of them out of my reach most of the time, but it does make it all the sweeter when I can score some for a bargain.

One of my buddies bought two necromunda figures in a local store for $20 total and turned around to sell them on eBay for $150. Couldn't believe his good luck. I have no clue which ones they were, bu I was there when he bought them.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

I've got the Catachan rocket girl limited edition. I think that's pretty good too:

Note that this one IS NOT mine - just googled.

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

That's Rocket Girl from the Last Chancers box. And while she goes well with the Catachan range she's not actually part of it. Nor was the miniature a limited edition.

There's the female Catachan with grenade launcher, which is rarer than the other special weapon troopers, but not actually a limited edition either.
