Cal: The change is the reason I look like this, why Morrigan has wings, why Ra and Horus have the heads of birds.
As a Elder ages their body goes through the Change. Some get lucky and end up with only minor changes like Huitz or Prometheus,
others turn out like Horus and Ra, and others change completely like me or Areop-Enap. We don't all look like this from birth.
My change happened just after I rescued Nicholas from the Procedure. I turned from a fairly normal looking person who could pass for Humani to...*Looks down failing to hide his disgust* to this...
