With the massive success of X-wing Miniatures by FFG and the expanding line of GW liscensed games being released by FFG, anyone think it possible that FFG might take over some of the now defunt specialist games such as BFG?

I think releasing BFG under the X-wing game system would be a brilliant move on the part of GW and FFG, as it would piggyback on the X-wing success and be a simplified system to bring in new gamers into the WH 40K universe

Seems like they would need to adapt the game to capital ships first, then release the Star Wars version of the capital ship game since they already have a Star Wars license, then to a 40K version.

I'd rather that GW does a Christmas special - I don't like the X wing game or the price of the models.............

Well they do have a couple of cap ships in X-wing (the corvette and transport)

They could also do like ST: attack wing and release only Cap ships under the same system as X-wing

Except that AI actually let's you change altitude.

Chances of BFG (or AI for that matter) = .0000000000000000000000000000000000000001 chance.

The only way I could ever see this happenning was if FF changed the scale of the models involved - probably to half to what they are now - and kept to the classes of Lt Cruiser or above.

Of course these would be one piece, prepainted models and the obligatory FF modding card sets

Potentially this could allow for four model starter sets - you get two of each side in the initial box. This lets FF add the expansion packs they so love.

In other words it is as likely as FF rereleasing Dark Future - unlss the new version of Car Wars storms the charts

In al honesty BFG was a really great game & should have been backed by GW. I was never really fond of Epic/Space Marine, but BFG, Mordheim, & Necromunda were absolute gems. Blood Bowl too, but I can't seem to find anyone around my area who will play it.

The only way I'd like to see BFG rereleased is as an update version where escorts are worth taking & hell, just use some form of round chits with ship class marked on them. It would still be great fun.

Would it be possible to take old BFG minis and then stick them on X-Wing/ST:AW-style flight stands? I'm sure people could make up stats and adapt the game.

Sometimes when I'm bored, I think of the ships from Starcon 2 and try to figure out how they would work in X-Wing/ST:AW.
