This is running off the same vein as my 2k Air-Cavalry Necron List, http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/582409.page which thusfar has proven quite adept at dismantling what it has come across.

So i figured I would try parring it down a bit to try and make it to 1850 for an upcoming tournament that does not allow escalation. What do you think?
If I get all four fliers in, I could get x4 telsa destructors and x30 Rapid Fire Gauss Shots as a strong Beta Strike, will will kill damn near anything.

Well, its a very solid list. I've played similar ones at several occasions. It works pretty well.

My only concern is that you're spending a bit much on wraiths (they don't all need coils), but I don't see anywhere else to really put any points you'd save from giving them Particle Casters. Generally, that's a really good list with a solid core, assuming you get your fliers in.

Obviously you're going to win with this list.

1. You have 4 fliers, more then 90% of players can't handle this at 1850, plus your guys wil just come from reserves if they get shot down. So even if 2 get shot down, You have 2 fliers left, able to capture 2 enemy deployment objectives while the squads from the other 2 just waltz in off the board edge and take back OBJs

2. All you have to deploy is your annihilation barges. 3 AV13 front/side vehicles! Give the opponent 1st turn and laugh as they kill 1, maybe 2 barges in their first 2 turns

The list is very well built and great for competitive play/tournaments. Making the opponents first 2 turns almost useless is very good! And there is lots of obj capturing ability which is also good.

However there are a few lists that you may have trouble with.
But that is generally due to a lack of any sort of AP(2/3) on your weapons, so grey knights and deathwing i could see being an issue but you could probably just out move them

I find I prefer the wraiths with the coils. Reason being, is that I can coil up nasty MC's that would smash attack and double them out before they strike at I2. Otherwise, it keeps them from getting whittled down in assault before they strike by bog-standard troops too.

Alternatively, I can drop 3, and give my D-lord a Res orb to make him more likely to get up if the worst is to occur.

Well, I used to run my Wraiths without whip coils. Nobody seems to run power fists here. So they were pretty safe.
The only nasty emeny are MCs with smash attacks as said. You could keep the Wraiths in cover and the MCs come to you. But this may not always work.

I would try squeeze a second destroyer lord in there because he makes the wraiths so much more awesome. Maybe drop the wraith squads down to 5 and drop one of the immortals squads for 5 warriors.

This list seems strong, but not strong enough to go against the best Deathstar lists circulating around. What's the plan against Centurion Star for instance?

Drown it in str 7 that wounds it on 2+? I guess
I'm not aware of what that deathstar is the way you mean it.

If its devestator centurions, tie them up with wraiths
it its assaults, ignore them.

Still just a 2+ save, not..that worried...That, and I will easily be able to kill every last troop choice in the army while they chew through my wraiths.

Iron hands gives every unit FNP and the vehicles and chapter masters IWND. The psychers further majorly buff the unit. The chapter masters each have 3++ already. That deathstar will munch through 1 unit in approach and the other unit in CC in 1 turn and then rain grav cannons on your parade. If you get a chance to play Centurion star you will find that its deathstar outclasses your wraith opposition. That build munched through 2x6 wraiths led by 2x D Lords at Adepticon so its ability to munch through wraiths in a timely manner is proven.

At any rate, all I am pointing out is that there are deathstar builds running around which 2 x 6 wraiths led by 1 D lord won't handle. The psycher buffs is what is bringing the deathstar unit over the top, so if for some reason they are not allowing Inquisition allies at your tourney then you might be okay.

Did they have LOS blocking terrain? Most tourneys lack that in a bad way.

I know they are making a push for that, maybe I wont need to eat that fire if they do it right

There's a good chance that Tigurius can buff the Centstar to ignore cover from among his 3 (re-roll to select) divination powers. Anyway, it's a sick build and it's out there on the internets. If I was running SM, it's what I would run.

Still, you can't allocate wounds to something you cannot see, despite ignores cover.

That and grav cannons have a 24 inch range.

It'd be a tough nut for sure, but proper generalship would see that army with no scoring units left.

It's a good list. I actually went up against basically the same list in a 1750 tournament (the Las Vegas Open):

Game #4 vs Pure Necrons (p. 6)

6th Edition Tournaments: Golden Throne GT 2012 - 1st .....Bay Area Open GT 2013 - Best Tyranids
ATC 2013 - Team Fluffy Bunnies - 1st .....LVO GT 2014 Team Tournament - Best Generals
7th Edition: 2015-16 ITC Best Grey Knights, 2015-16 ITC Best Tyranids

Just stay in the fliers and ignore the death star they need 6's to hit you and then you get jink saves. Destroy everything else in the army and just watch that deathstar chase you all game. It's pathetic how people think deathstars are everything. Centurions are SLOW I run a all bike eldar army and have torn up that exact list this kid in my store uses. Alls you do is out move them 24 inch range on most of it which if watched carefully can be managed

This is a strong Necron list only tau or possibly new IG can do it. But you'll be fine

Just wanted to point out that there is a difference between a "kid in your store" running that list and a GT-winner running that list.

BTW, the game col_impact was referring to was this:

Game #4 vs Centurionstar Space Marines/Inquisition (p. 6)

Of course, a good general knows where to apply the force of his army to greatest effect, and obviously, this deathstar is one of the ones that it is better to avoid than engage if possible.

So, my tactic would need to be kill the troops, and drop mine off last chance I get to win on objectives.

Jy2, thanks for the links! I'll have to look them over this evening, get some more insight.

I do appreciate the feedback everyone, thank you for that!
Col Impact, I appreciate it as well, since I didnt know this deathstar existed, let alone was so nasty.

Learn something every day right?

Welps, the innaugural test against Eldar x3 serpents, reapers, psychic powers galore, d-scythe wraithguard and an ADL was a roflstomp...so I think it works pretty well.

I'd call it a twist on that, since the whole point is to drop the immortals early and deluge important targets to death, but thanks for the input!
