I've exhausted my Google-fu. I'm trying to convert some Imperial Guard troopers into Harakoni Warhawks. Here are some pictures to show you the idea that I'm trying to achieve.

I can tell that most of the parts are the Elysian Drop Troopers from Forgeworld with Cadian heads with respirators. I like the first picture that uses the Cadian torsos and would like to use regular Cadian shoulder pads to give them a little more bulk. The catch that I'm running into is that I don't want to use the standard Cadian arms and lasguns, and converting those to take the lasgun carbine is almost impossible.

I'm wondering if anybody has any ideas or suggestions on what to do. Can I find or buy just plan Cadian shoulder pads? Is there a company that makes similar shoulder pads?

Have you tried taking the Elysian arms off just above the elbow and pinning onto Cadian shoulders? You'd need to trim the rest of the cadian arma way, so its not too efficient.

The alternative is to make a press mould of the Cadian shoulder armour and embed the Elysian arms into that.

Id like to second the press mold idea.

It would be well more repeatable and economical to boot.

If you happen to find a source for Elysian arms please share with the rest of the class. I've been in need of some for awhile & the combat armor arms above don't work with Elysians because they're heroic scale.

Elysian arms are about as rare as hen's teeth!

How about though using Mantic Corporation Ranger arms? Or even the whole model? Their weapons could be replaced with lasguns as they're too sci-fi looking for 40k but the rest of the sculpt could pass for a Harakoni. They're also closer in scale to FW Elysians and DKoK than plastic Cadians although they do sport some rangy looking limbs! Add a few Aquila's and a grav chute and you're good to go.

Why not just cut away most of the Cadian shoulder pad (if you're a guard player you've got tons spare) and shape it the way you want. Fix it up with some green stuff and then press mold it and simply cut the old pad off and put your creation in its place.

I'd second the use of corporation marines. Biggest problem with them is lack of options when it comes to arms since gw are way too bulky. Elysian & DKoK arms work on them but back to the same problem. If you buy an Elysian equipment & heads pack it might work though.

Talking around. I know the Cadian torsos are slightly bigger than the Elysian legs. That doesn't bother me too much as I like the extra bulk. Plus I'd be putting a ton of pouches and what not around the waste.

If all else fails, I'd probably stick with using the Elysian shoulder pads. I would just like the Cadian for a just that touch of bulk. I was hoping for something just to buy as my Green Stuff skills are not that great.

I think I may have misunderstood what it is you were trying to accomplish. Ignore my earlier suggestion.

@xXWeapon
I still that you for the suggestion, and will keep in mind. I know there's a few ways I could tackle it. It's just trying to figure out the best and easiest, seeing is that I would have to do this to a lot of guys.
