Subject: sourcing or scratching minis for BB/nec/mord etc?

Hi guys!
Wondering people's preferred methods of sourcing minis for BB, necromunda and mordheim? Or is the best bet to scratch build from GW or various companies instead? If the latter what are the best places to look for random bits and base minis?
Rather avoid ridiculous ebay prices etc.

I'm currently making my BB team out of minis from 40K since my number of models have now gone up into the ridiculous range. That seems to be the best bet now (from what I hear) since GW is trying to push out all of the 'bits box' websites that are out there.

Yaktribe has some resoruces for finding alternative minis for Nercomunda as well as Mordheim! Link: http://gaming.yaktribe.org/community/threads/alternative-miniature-sources-image-heavy.15/
Other methods is to buy some of the GW kits and convert, as well as other companies. Currently making a Orlock gang from the Catachan parts, as well as a few parts from the Cadian boxes.

For Mordheim, I bought historical miniatures - I have the Perry Men-at- arms (plastics), foot knights, etc. I've purchased portugese conquistadores from Eureka miniatures (metal, but no need to change em). I've also looked at Gripping Beast Vikings, Arabs (both plastic), and Fireforge knights and infantry (all plastic). Lots of inexpensive bases for conversions, though I use em as is, so I can play Mordheim or Historicals.
For Necro, I use my 40k miniatures - my kasrkin and Inquisitor are my delaque or van saar gang, and I just eventually equip them to match the models (not optimal, but it works).
Blood Bowl, I've seen some great conversions from GW plastics (orks in particular), but there are a lot of 3rd party companies that make BB compatible minis (but I think they're too expensive).

Guessing GW plastics would be the cheapest with some bonus parts from other suppliers to vary up conversions I guess!
Things like escher gangs get a bit trickier im guessing

BB:
Most of the racial plastic regiments will work. For humans you may need to bring in some cadian bits.
Mordheim:
As above without cadian bits
Necromunda:
Van Saar - eldar guardians with SW scout heads & other imperial weapons
Goliath - catachan & chaos marauders kitbash
Orlock - catachan & cadian kitbash
Escher - wyches
Cawdor - chaos cultists
Scavvies - empire troops with crypt ghoul & cadian parts
Ratskins - empire troops & wood elf parts
Redemptionists - empire troops, wood elf legs, cadian arms, chaos cultists
Ash Nomads - pretty much anything

I am not sure if this is tested but, I was thinking of saying the Brettonia Men-at-Arms/Peasant Bowman with some Cadian bits might mork, but I might have to test this out first. Possibly even Catachan working to some degree as well.

BB the GW fantasy and Forgeworld models convert very well. Main trick is removing weapons and having the hands look ok; if you can find your race has a mini with a good bare/gloved hand get onto a big ebay bits supplier like windowbox and order in lots of that bit.
