I have to say, the title is a little cringeworthy. One of my favourite bits about MoS was that 'Superman' was used only mockingly or jokingly, now they're using it in the title it's kind of annoying.
Superman's symbol still looks cool, but that bat symbol looks awful. It would also look terrible as a batarang.

It looks very much like the one from 2007's I Am Legend.
Spoiler:
To be fair, that was the symbol in use for the Batman/Superman comic when I Am Legend came out.
And hey, Batman/Superman: Apocalypse was released in 2010.

It's very similar to Frank Miller's version, which was a major influence on the suit's design (along with Jim Lee's). And note that they've said the film will take cues from The Dark Knight Returns.
Regarding the title, they sure wanted to broadcast what this one is setting up, huh? At this point it'd almost be a surprise if they weren't concurrently doing some filming for the Justice League movie.

Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Can it be?....Frazz has just unleashed his hidden weiner dog from his mini bag, while quoting shakespeares "Let slip the dogs the war!!" GG

You'd love it, btw. The whole thing takes place in a dystopian near-future, where Reagan is still the president (having asked Superman to intervene in our foreign conflicts) and the cold war heats up radically. Everyone's old, and crotchety, and violent. You need very nearly zero previous knowledge of the comics other than knowing who Superman, Batman, and Green Arrow are.
If you aren't inclined to read it, they released an animated version fairly recently that does a serviceable job, but it's a pretty short read.

Well folks, this isn't particularly awesome. Various thoughts from David S Goyer (the guy who is writing the film, supposedly) on various comic characters, particularly She-Hulk.
I wish it was just a matter of various mudslinging but, it's pretty darn bad. He then lays into DC characters too. (Which is more relevant to the thread)
Goyer was asked how he would translate the J’onn J’onzz aka Martian Manhunter to film. As Goyer is one of the people in charge of bringing the DC Universe to live action, this was definitely a topic where his ideas carried weight. In response to being asked about the hero, Goyer asked, “How many people in the audience have heard of Martian Manhunter?” After hearing some light applause and cheers, he added, “How many people that raised their hands have ever been laid?”
Way to fall back on outdated stereotypes of your core viewing audience.
After this, Goyer explained his take on the hero: “Well, he hasn’t been rebooted but he’s a mainstay in the Justice League. He can’t be fething called the Martian Manhunter because that’s goofy. He can be called Manhunter… The whole deal with Martian Manhunter is he’s an alien living amongst us… So he comes down to Earth and decides, unlike Superman who already exists in the world now, that he’s just going to be a homicide detective… So instead of using super-powers and mind-reading and like, oh, I could figure out if the President’s lying or whatever, he just decides to disguise himself as a human homicide detective. Dare to dream!”
To clarify, the Martian Manhunter has actually been rebooted if you include television. Even if you ignore the unaired Justice League TV-pilot, there have been a couple different versions of him across DC’s cartoon range and a live-action version with a notably different origin and nature who appeared in Smallville, played wonderfully by Phil Morris. It’s true that in the comics the Martian Manhunter did adopt the human identity of homicide detective (and later private detective) John Jones. But he did actually use his powers to solve cases and stop crimes in this capacity, he just did it clandestinely, and he continued to spend half his time operating as a costumed hero. So he actually didn’t choose to simply ignore his powers and just be a human being.
Goyer went on: “I would set it up like The Day After Tomorrow. We discover one of those Earth-like planets… So maybe like… we get the DNA code from that planet and then grow him in a petri dish here… He’s like in Area 51 or something and we’re just basically… doing biopsies on him. Then he gets out and he’s really angry and
Err, I'll leave that to tail off there, you can read the rest of the article yourselves...

Marvel fanboys need their own thread where they can sit around and talk about the cinematic masterpieces that are Iron Man 2 and 3, Incredible Hulk, Spider-Man 2, Thor 1 & 2, The First Avenger, etc. Throw enough 'meh' against the wall and some of it is bound to stick.

Would STILL rather go to those than most non-batman DC movies......
Really though, when is Blue Beetle getting his own movie? That's what I want to see..
I've never feared Death or Dying. I've only feared never Trying.

Ted's way more interesting, even if we have already gotten a movie with his carbon copy.
Then again, I'd love a JLI/Super Buddies movie.
