Quite stunning, and yes marines can be quite enjoying to play now.

Good luck with this project.

Now all you need to do is paint something for any of those projects and we will all be much happier .

Seriously though, glad to see you adding more to these guys, one of my all time favourite armies, especially when you consider that these were made before much of the newer marine plastics ever existed, yet fit perfectly with the new style.

My only concern is that, with how busy you are at work, you are trying to work on too much and as a result, none of the projects will move on much?

Looking forward to whatever you turn your hand to next as always mate.

Cheers,

Dante

what an utterly exhausting day - and important - which thankfully went very well, went to the gym during the lunch brake and I come home with a jarring head ache, muscles tight and mind numb.... and some painkillers later decide it is a good idea to paint myself a drop pod.

Well, I am pleased now, but going to crash.

Taking pics when I get some marines from my granny's place to charge out of it! I must say the Mig pigments are PERFECT for adding depth to white and a totally different level of realism. I'm very happy I haven't done the tanks yet for this army. Large flat surfaces like the facings of a Land Raider for example would've looked very boring before this experiment.

so, adding a Drop Pod to the list. Second one primed, but before it gets into a list, I need more pods. Too damn bad terminators can't have pods and the terminator deep strikers aren't counted towards the drop pod assault numbers.

Dante - this and the TWAR are easing a lot of the pressure actually, as I get results and games (I like playing more than painting, while converting and imagining things the most) as a great motivator. Legion is going to take forever, and I only want to work on it when I have the "muse" with me.

Impressive, intuitive well placed. In fact, from a fellow artist point of view, the only piece that bothers me is the beaky marine with the light on his backpack, it just seems very flat and I know you can do better...

I have to say, out of everything so far migs, I am most excited to see your take on an Ironclad. Also, curious, are you going to biggerize the dreads? They do have to fit your biggerized marines inside dont they? Gl dude

Amen to that!

And even when you upgrade from "biggerised" to even bigger - it's painful to back Legion, with those "just right" Alpharius nearly killed this army, before realising there is such thing as common sense and realism and even I may be better of at times taking those in to consideration.

Here are some marines for a change - As a side dish to some Orks, I picked up the new Venerable dread which turned out to be an awesome kit. Something I just want to slap together and paint (latter also to brake off rust ). My white Crescent Guard Marines have also been getting new Drop Pod kit, so a few more dreadnoughts fit right in. I guess the Ironclad has to be included too. And I would need a tournament to pace myself...

I've ordered a bunch of mig productions and the order arrived with buckets full of new mediums to experiment with I plan to create a new, even deeper and more interesting (well it's not very interesting now, so that's easy) receipe for the white. I hope to keep expanding this army for years to come. I suppose all the way up to when GW will finally give in and make a properly scaled new plastic marine kit "terminator style" like the fine folks of interweb have done.

So a bad quality picture, click it for dakka gallery detail. Fitting end for my trusty camera that will be replaced later this week.

I'll be soon to start a pre-heresy Thousand son army and im realy considering biggin' it up like you have but i would love for you to show how/technecs you use to *big* them up, i see plasticard inbetween the chest plates and in the lower leg, just wondering if you could go into more detail. Would be fab.

Amazing!

These guys were some of my favorite models of all time back on B&C last time you were working on them years ago, it's great to see you dusting them off!

I echo the comments on your new batch, the light on the apothecary is very flat, and the face on the sarge and the gold also lack a bit of depth compared to your usual standard. Still, overall, amazing as usual!

@ Oreren was looking for a thread with the bigger marines in it, couldn't find it though...

but if you check out Migsula's "Legion" thread, you can see also that the legs are bigger too, it makes them more in propertion with the rest of the body...

Good luck with your new job.....

I look forward to seeing your work on the dreads and pods. I know that you've been told this already, but your stuff is inspirational. I was basically a week from getting rid of my marines when I saw your Crescent Guard. It totally changed my mind and got me into the hobby again (well, that and the new Tyranids ).

Thanks, man!
