Dude that looks friggin awesome! Wow!

Could you possible show a close up of the walkways? Did you do anything special to help keep them in place on the buildings?

I was just making a few walkways for my cityfight/necromunda table and used the cyberclicks pieces with heavy paper glued on the bottom to add some strength.

Damn. I really miss Necromunda now

It looks really really good though! pretty open, but also with enough cover.

*edit* Where and what are those figures on the blank panels of the pegasus kit ancient society?

I'll get closeup pics of them once they're all painted. I've glued two plasticard I-beams on the underside of each walkway, with about 1cm to spare on either end. That way, the lip will sit on each terrain piece and the I-beams will keep them from falling off. It also helps give the walkway strength without extra weight (like a real I-beam should).

They're statues from the WHFB Chapel kit. They fit in with the feel of the Pegasus kit nicely don't they? I really like them together, makes me want to build another building with the rest of the kit....except I HATED cutting the Pegasus plastic.

As someone who gets the opportunity to play on Ancient Society's terrain (that's my Van Saar gang) on a regular basis it is amazing. The terrain makes a huge difference in gameplay and the pictures don't do the pieces justice with the detail of some of the buildings and the way he has incorporated all the walkways and levels. I've even lost track of my guys in the different pathways! The terrain really is awesome.

Cutting the pegasus stuff is a chore, but at least you know it's sturdy. You
do great work with this stuff! I'll try to be in next week.

I didn't even know there was a chapel kit, cool. Thanks for the tip also!
Yeah they are a bitch. I had to take a air rifle to the large chapel in order to simulate battle damage, and that was after my hands started to hurt from cutting up the windows in the kit.

If you have a table clamp then a sawsall works well on the pegasus stuff. Or a jig saw. Both will eat through the plastic quickly and, as long as you don't push the saw too hard onto the plastic, it will jerk just enough to add some randomness.

Ya know, I have been in th eplannning stages for my city scape for a while... I was thinking in term sof square bases. But maybe i'll try smaller necromunda style bases instead.... Maybe. Or maybe i'll make afew big pieces and then use my leftovers for the more necro stuff.

How strudy are those bridges, for gameplay I mean?

One of the things the cardstock bridges has going for them was the bits that went under the main buildings, allowing them to 'slot' in. These look, from the pics, to just be placed on. Not so good when filled with metal Necro models.

Malfred-

You can do this: http://www.plastruct.com/

There site is a bit of a pain to go through but it is complete.

Or any good train/hobby store should have a great variety of plastruct. I just picked up some I-beams yesterday. Luckily, my local train/hobby store is within walking distance so plasticard is never far away.

Stuff's been a bit slow going lately. The weekend before last I was sidelined for 2 days when, while building a Heresy Space Wolves Killteam, I nearly chopped the tip of my thumb off. Remember shop safety, kids! Then last week, my Ard Nobz squad (converted from Black Orcs) beckoned. Luckily, over Memorial Day, I was able to base all the remaining terrain pieces and primed the forge, walkways, and the rebuilt gatehouse (I didn't like the 1st version). I should have more finished pics by the end of the week, stay tuned!

As such, they're sturdy enough (once braced properly) to hold an entire gang.

I have the pegasus kits, and I've found that a pair of steel snips rated for 18g steel did wonders for doing battle damage.

They're sturdy as all get out, that's for certain.

There's also a hobby store over in Elmhurst which has a decent stock if you want to see things in person before you buy.

That's the thicker type of plastic tubing. I held it under HOT running water from the faucet and slowly bent it to shape. Not the quickest or easiest way to do it, but it won't melt - unlike if you held it over a candle flame (like many modeling sites suggest).

Naah, Felix and I have been seeing each other for years. Like so many romances it started online, then a street-corner rendezvous (that part is actually true), and the rest is history.

I may join him in crashing one of your Tuesday night sessions sometime if your group has room for more participants, although I don't think I can attend very regularly. I've gotta admit, your terrain is a big draw.
