That's the thicker type of plastic tubing. I held it under HOT running water from the faucet and slowly bent it to shape. Not the quickest or easiest way to do it, but it won't melt - unlike if you held it over a candle flame (like many modeling sites suggest).

I have often wanted to try a heating gun for that purpose.

23 Plague Zombies assembled from my bitz box and painted over one weekend (including writing up their scenario). That's a record for me! They're not anything special or pretty but they're effective and look pretty good on the table.

That scenario was wicked...for racking up XP kills. I'll never
bemoan close combat upgrades for my Delaques again.

Looks great loving it.

Progress is slowly being made on completion of the Underhive table. I need to have this finished by April 2nd for Adepticon 2009, where this will serve as a Necromunda demo table on Friday April 3rd and as the main table in the Necromunda tournament Saturday April 4th.

Weathering on the steel parts of the Foundry

The Space Marine monument (weathered)

Ruins #1 & 2 (still need detail painting)

Ruined Cathedral (still need detail painting)

Warehouse Tower (still need detail painting)

The completely re-done Generatorium (after only 4 games, the original began falling apart, so I re-did it to be more compact)
Not entirely sure what base color to use for this....

The Logic Bank Tower (sort of like a Mechanicus version of a server farm)
Again, not sure what base color to use here....this will be the final structure for this table, although I'll be adding a modular canal system in the future

Beach sand, actually (since I live two blocks from a beach). Unfortunately, I have to go through it and pick out the cigarette butts when I first get it but, it has a more natural texture than bagged sand because it includes lots of different granule sizes and small pebbles.

APOCALYPSE!

6100 Space Marines vs. 6100 Orks/Necrons

The board...

The Space Marines setup...

The battlefield....the Space Marines prepare to re-take the outskirts of an Imperial city

Turn 1...The Space Marine Rhinos advance on the flank, popping smoke charges, and heading for the Pumphouse objective...

The Blood Claws arrive via Drop Pod assault, intent on re-claiming the Pumphouse...

"Orbital Fire....Incoming."....The Imperial Orbital Bombardment arrives directly over the Necron force, smashing several Warriors and Destroyers....

"Kall down dat 'Ulk dakka!!!"....The first Scheduled Ork Bombardment arrives, destroying several Tactical Marines...

The combined might of the Warbikers and the BikerBoss are not enough to eliminate the Blood Claws, who leap forward and counter-attack the Mob, obliterating it...

Turn 2...the Rhinos disgorge their embarked Marine units....

"Marines, FIRE!"...the Space Marine front line pours fire into the Necrons...

Wolf Scouts arrive behind the Ork flank and destroy the Ork's Looted Wagon with meltabombs...

Having eliminated all opposition on their left flank, the Marines begin consolidating their beachhead...

Intent on getting into a good fight, Da Green Tide begins advancing on their right flank...

Trukk boyz arrive from reserve to assault the Marine beachhead and re-take the Pumphouse objective...

The Necron Destroyers open fire on the Rhinos...

Heavily inebriated, Da Brewa Boyz arrive and assault the Wolf Scouts, easily wiping them out and hoppin' back in their Trukk...

On the Ork left flank, Da Dred Mob advances on the Terminators, pouring Grotzooka shots into their ranks, while staying well away from the Imperial minefields...

Turn 3...The Space Marine front line advances to the edge of the minefield, intent upon wiping out the Necrons...

The Wolf Guard Terminators cross the deadly minefield to engage the Dred Mob, losing several of their number to friendly mines...

Under heavy fire from the Lootas, the Space Marine Drop Pod blows up...

After an intense battle, Da Green Tide holds the Administratum Chapel, a Vital Objective for the Ork/Necron force...

Having wiped out the remaining Wolf Guard and pouring a final salvo into the under-sized Tactical Squad, Da Dred Mob watch as two Necron Warrior squads teleport into the thick of the fighting to claim the Space Marine's central objective...

Having held out against a teleporting Necron squad and the third Ork Scheduled Bombardment, two Tactical Squads hold the Eccelesiarchal Chapel...only to have it contested by the sole remaining Deff Kopta...

The Marine frontline holds the two minefield objectives...

The table surface was hand-painted. MDF primed with White Kilz primer, undercoated with black and rust red primer, oversprayed with a light coat of grey primer...the lines were then drawn on with a felt tip pen to represent concrete slabs, the table was then given another light coat of grey primer (more was applied to the center of each "tile"), the stenciling was then added, and some final light coats of grey primer and Tamiya Gunship Grey, as well as some spotting of rust red primer and Testors Light Tan.

These are great! I have a PVC pipe connector project on the burner as well. More of a 'vents' thing really...I will definitely be making some of these. Like the linear obstacle tutorial as well, great stuff in here!

Thanks all.

Running the Necromunda tournaments at Adepticon every year means I need a LOT of terrain, so I've actually done a few other pieces in this style since the last update. Mostly though, I've done a shanty town board and a commission Post-Apoc board for Wreck-Age. I'll try to get some pics up when I have the chance.

Actually, the "trailer" ended up as a dumpster in one of my terrain pieces since the wheels didn't work out. The runabout itself is sitting in a bin, unpainted still....somewhere.
