Yay for Plaguebearers with 5+ inv and FNP though!

Um, might that be what Seekers of Slaanesh are? I'm thinking they're not the classic Fiends of Slaanesh, and no one has offered another explanation of what Seekers are that I've seen. Then again, they did just get rid of the matching foot troops (stupidly, as they were lovely models IMO and the plastics schedule could surely have been used better).

Hey everybody, looks like it's time to magnetize the feet on our daemon units and make swappable bases. 2 systems for one price. Then they can suck all across the multiverse.

...Sort of kidding there. I'll probably be sucker enough to pick up some plastic blood letters and metal daemonettes to do just that with.

I immediately presumed they were mounted Demonettes as well. They're fast attack and they'd have models. And I certainly don't see mounted Demonettes anywhere else in the list.

Will they be mounted on Steeds of Slaanesh or on the infamous "Boobsnakes"?

Maybe the proposed points costs will tell us (if they get leaked anytime soon that is)?

Hmm. Well, right now the "boobsnake" model includes a mounted Fantasy mortal Slaanesh hero, while the mounted demonettes are, well, demonettes.

I believe that S = 10* and T = 10*, and you forgot the huge amount of Wounds they have, and BS is less than zero due to bad eyesight.

*Internet only, otherwise 1/2 each.

They have Strike First and on the turn they lose their last wound they can make a feeble attack at their true strength.

You're right. That could really confuse some 8 year old; I mean, really mess up his handle on the game. Uncovered breasts on a 28mm model, that is

My first thought on reading the post was "Bogus! 'Light Support'? And look at all the typos... and Pink Horrors again? This is some 10-year old trying to light a fire." Then someone mentioned that maybe this was translated, poorly, maybe from German, and I thought, oh, okay.

Waitaminit.

GW lets Germans playtest their new rules?

I don't buy it. If it were true, GW's rules wouldn't suck so much. In short, I call shenanigans, and say let's wait and see for a few more months.

I suspect these demons start on the table at the start of the game. I really doubt GW is going to design an army that entirely summons.

This may also explain why they can't be allied with CSM. Summoning off of icons and assaulting is incredibly good. I suspect the demons in this codex aren't being designed with that ability in mind, and mostly start on the table.

Stop and think for a minute. If you could take these new demons in your CSM army, Nerf Marines wouldn't stand a chance.

Oh, cool. I missed that. Wicked, thanks for pointing that out!

I don't care about matching the new fugly models. I picked up 18 boobalicious daemonettes and 6 on steeds over a year ago, in prep for my LustWing Slaaneshi Termie/Daemon army which never got built, so I'm good to go! (I'm also very glad that there's an Apocalypse formation for the massive amounts of Terminators I bartertowned for...)

I'd definitely like to see an option to ally Real DaemonsTM and CSM. Maybe some compromise could be reached if Real DaemonsTM can't be summoned off Icons? You'd have to screen them with Rhinos to get them across the board without getting shot up though.

Ehhh... I see myself playing far more games of Apocalypse or Minipocalypse than standard 4th ed rules in the next year anyways, so the ally thing isn't a huge deal.

The idea is that if zee Germans don't complain about a lack of moving parts, GW knows to "streamline" out some of the options and try again.

Ah. Well, if Alessio is writing the codex, that makes sense.

I still think I'd rather have German playtesters, though. Or maybe Polish. Someone who will really stress-test the design, you know?

But not the Finns.

Alessio?!?!? AAAAAAaaaaagh!!!!

Sorry. After he screwed up the Fantasy rules (i.e. marchblocked skirmishers making anything resembling ancient irregular tactics useless), I've hated the guy's influence so, so much.

Approprate that he wrote the Skaven book, being that he was a notorious powergaming rules lawyer before joining the development team. Not so funny when he begins nerfing everything he touches after he gets done writing uber-codexes for his two favorite fantasy armies. It's like he got away with something, then got his hand slapped and decided to be "moderate" (ie overly restrictive) with everything afterwards.

He and Gav should just go away. I wish _they_ were stuck designing video games for Blizzard instead of Andy C.

Grumble.

As for the fanboy bit- yeah, I don't care for major-league sports, so I guess I sort of put that attention into gaming. Whatever. The comment was supposed to be sarcastic.

Italian huh? Is it the same Italian joker who posted the bogus Blood angel rumors on an Italian 40k forum?

I just dunno if these are for real or not. None of the regular rumor mongers have chimed in so they seem to be suspect to me. Could be the real deal though (they sure seem genuine but I think most of us could make up daemon codex rules that seem plausible).

I guess we'll see when the dex is leaked.

This came up on the same warseer thread, page 23 post #447 by gilgamesh

http://warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=121779&page=23

Heard a LOT of rumors being tossed around today at the FLGS. I can't comment upon the reliability of the source, so PLEASE, take it with a grain of salt, but heres what I got. A LOT of it matches with the rumors here, and adds new info. Mostly on Khorne and Slannesh.

-Bloodthirsters are apparently WS 10! They don't toss their axe like older editions, it's the whip that is their ranged attack. Probably has FC.
-Bloodletters supposedly have PW's. Possibly have Fleet (I honestly forget if the rumors placed it on them). Probably has FC. Probably T4, S4.
-Daemonettes cost the same as a Fire Warrior, with as many attacks on the charge as Harlequins! They Fleet. Rending. Probably T3, S3.
-Keeper of Secrets costs a little more than the Master of the Ravenwing, but is I10! More attacks than a Bloodthirster (6-7ish IIRC), Fleets, Hit and Runs, has Lash w/o needing a psychic test, IIRC has Frag equivalents. MAYBE has Rending.
-Tzeentch is pretty much the sole source of shooting for basic troops. Other God's forces shooty is not on Troop choices. Nurgle probably has some Flamer style stuff in it's shooty.
-No restriction on mixing units, your Tzeentch shooty is expected to back your Bloodletter CC, etc. You're supposed to mix, though single God forces won't be too bad off.
-Plaguebearers probably T5.
-Demon Princes said to be VERY killy. IIRC, rumors placed them about as killy/more killy than your GD HQ's when kitted out. Unsure if they become HQ's when tooled up as previously mentioned here on Warseer.
-The corrupted defiler thing is supposedly real (it's the tank thing talked about here). What it can do is unknown.
-No info on Special Characters or Fluff.

This guy is unsure of how accurate the information is, and some of it seems to be his own speculation. enjoy the tidbits.
