C'mon, Abby - you've been around long enough to know the rules - GW screws the T-Sons players. That's one of their top priorities.

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

But remember that there are over 1000 chapters of spase marienz! So the SM codex has to cover over 1000 different kinds of spase marienz! Codex CSM only has to cover 1 kind (the Chaos kind). And I don't even think Eldar are a kind of spase marienz at all. Hurr!

Those all look ok. But unfortunately what I really want to know is what the Rune Priest will be getting or a hint at it...Oh well.

Hello, Dark Eldar need a new codex bad! or guard, why are the marines getting eveything, im so sick of every six months they get a ship load of stuff when other races are falliing behind!

Guard and Dark Eldar are posted for next year. Dark Eldar I know for a fact went completely back to the drawing board. It won't be a 5th edition standardization, but rather a complete burnt-every-copy-of-the-old-book-it-never-existed-what-are-you-talking-about approach.

We've all seen some guard rumors, and we know the codex is being written by someone (I'm brainfarting on his name atm) everyone describes as a treadhead, so guard players should be happy.

I know DE are due late summer/early fall '09... and I am guessing here that guard are prolly late spring '09. Fits the timetables and rumors progressions I've been hearing from the inside.

There is an attitude that not having an insanely optimized, one shot, six stage, omnidirectional, inevitable, mousetrap of an assassin list army somehow means that you have foolishly wasted your life building 500 points of pure, 24 karat, hand rolled, fine, cuban fail. That attitude has been shown, under laboratory conditions, to cause cancer of the fun gland.

Apparently Tigurius has access to all powers and can use 3 powers a turn... and allows you to re-roll reserves.

Yes, but can he use his force weapon in addition to using 3 powers a turn? If not then his psychic prowess is only at Ahriman-level - hardly worthy of the chief librarian of the Ultramarines. How disappointing. But if he can do this without the help of some sissyass Black Staff I guess I'll let it slide.

Abby, do you ever post something that isn't "The Sky is falling, HURR!"? It got old when the CSM codex came out, now it's just annoying.

These powers aren't too over the top or too weak. That's the kind of stuff we need to see. Useful powers that don't break the game or make something unbeatable.

The best news about this Libby and his powers is that if you take one, you can't take two of the special characters. Nice that there still is a 2 HQ limit.

There IS still a 2 HQ limit right?

If you think he's saying 'the sky is falling', then those rose-tinted glasses you wear Ozy must be darker than I first thought.

Abby is, quite correctly, pointing out the absurdity of Marine Librarians being more powerful than Tzeentchian Sorcerers - especially Tiggy being better than Ahriman.

That indeed is sad,
well at least Abaddon's rules were awesome.

The comment is quite correct.
he is just saying for the n'th time that GW's rules are biased towards marines.

That's just the way it is.

I thought that nowadays using a force weapon counted as using a single psychic power.

If so then no, not 3 powers and force weapon, 3 powers OR 2 powers and force weapon.

I am also a little peeved that the masters of chaos, whose power approches that of the daemon primarchs (Abby and Ahriman) are matched or bettered by whichever chumps just happen to be leading the blue space marines (Marneus and Tigurius).

Hey now!

Say what you will about Tiggy (he hasn't been the same man since 2nd Ed/that run in with the Legion of the Damned) but you leave Calgar out of this. He was the first special character, and he will be the last.

My own little happy place

I diffidently agree with squig herder space marines get way 2 much crap and are always updated the orks finally got updated after space marines got 2 more codex's and dark eldar"s codex is way over due for an update.
also what the crap, the libarian was good enough practically rigged and that's the things are going to go most people choose space marine cause there the easiest to play and always a little better than every1 else.

I tried being normal but it's boring so now I'm back to being insane

Or biased against Chaos. The first 3rd ed Chaos codex was written by Jervis who has basically admitted that he phoned it in because he doesn't really like Chaos. The second 3rd edition Chaos codex was written by Pete Haines and Graham McNeill who love Chaos (especially Iron Warriors) with all their bodies (including their peepee) - in fact Graham McNeill loves Iron Warriors so much he even wrote a book about it. The latest Chaos codex was written by Alessio/Gav - a.k.a. MasterBlaster (guess which one is the mongoloid) - and it basically reverted everything back to Jervis' half-assed 3rd ed codex. So the latest Chaos codex is essentially a redo of hack job originally written by someone who doesn't like the army. And it shows.
