YO DAKKA DAKKA!

Yeah, I avoid leaving them out, because of dust. Usually in various boxes/foamcuts/tackleboxes.

Mine live in boxes on shelves, in carry cases in front of shelves, and my nicely painted ones are in a glass display cabinet I inherited from a local cafe refurbishment!!

you know, for a while i was considering making a case based on this...
having metal inserts that sit either horizontally or vertically that just had units stuck onto them...
way to lazy for all the metal chopping and magnetizing though

My stuff is all over the place in my house, some on a huge shelf, some on work benches and painting tables, although many completed ones are tucked away in skirmish cases. I guess I am lucky as my shelf doesn't get too dusty and can leave them out for a bit.

Erm.... in a purpose built Log Cabin.....

but I store my figures in everything from card boxes to metal cases to "Figures in Comfort" foam cases.

Like the look of the Kaiser Rushforth stuff at the moment however (www.kaiserrushforth.com)

The Flambard over the table is steel, the others are all Foam Latex!

They are however occasionally used for "Rules Negotiations"

Flambard WELL chained in place however! The main steel weapons are locked away in the Steel Cabin for re-enactment gigs when not wargamming :-)

Hope you don't get cold in there! Log cabins aren't the best insulated for a UK winter.

Unfortunatly fully agree! We are discussing a pot belly stove, but currently use a 2Kw space heater and multiple bodies (which when "Heated" over rules discussions gets plenty hot enough!)

God I wish I had a dedicated gaming space.

At the moment I store my army on a bookshelf, but soon I shall give them a nice roof over their heads in the form of a transport case.

Cabin cost about £4,500, base another £500 ish for the base (9 tons of Type 1 Hard core and about 80 Slabs, plus hire of necessary compacting tools, blagged the slabs cheap however!)

Base took about a few months of on and off weekends to put down, cabin however took 2 weekends to build from stratch! Good fun as well, like adult Engineering Lego!

Check out B&Q website or “Finn Forrest” who are the manufacturer.

I have the advantage that I’m an Engineer by trade, and work in the Building Trade but in all seriousness ANYONE could put one of these cabins up over the space of a week! Easier with a few people just cause you can spread the lugging around!

Heat and Power something else however, would recommend you get a sparky in for a few days, should cost about £800 all in.

I've been gaming since I was 14, thats over 21 years, and the wife has been gaming longer!

It made sense to make the investment, and when we come to sell the house, its a unique selling point!

When the lads move out we will move things indoors, and then it gets converted into a Gym and Sauna! :-)
