If that were so, I'd already have been sacrificed to the God-Emperor. I mean, my Guardsmen would hate me for having them get slaughtered too many times on the table...hence why I keep them in their robust .50 ammo can. It's air and water tight, and just in case they do come to life, I'd like to see them open that from the inside. XD

In a display case in the family room. In army transport and GW cases. On shelves in the shop.

All in the army cases with various long forgotten projects cluttering up the shelves.

Out of sight or tucked away in my hobby room on shelves

Mostly out of sight of my girlfriend, who threatens to microwave them if they stay out on the breakfast bar for longer than a day.

To be fair, she did allocate a cupboard for my Warhammer stuff when I moved into her flat, so she's not all bad...

simple, everywhere, figure cases, on top of the TV, on my painting tile ready to be finished, in boxes (for models that need stripping or i just have no desire to look at for a while), in 4 tier plastic drawer storage compartments (currently the home of my WH40k Chaos and WFB Chaos and High Elves

Packed away in carrying cases and away from curious kittys.

In their carrying cases, up on shelves, away from curious kittens.

GW stuff: packed away, mostly in Army Transports, two rifle cases and an old GW hard case.

Warmachine: in display case.

Pulp stuff, VSF and cowboys: some are in display cases, and some in a skirmishpack.

Chainmail, Warlord, Battletech, pirates, etc: in the Warstore's/Sabol's storage boxes.

Upon moving, I hope to get a second display cabinet for the game room/man hole, sell off a pile of my gaming stuff (already in progress) and just have everything better organized.

In a bookshelf or a tool box

Mostly in foam in the basement, though I have a display case for the best looking models.

Right now half of them are in a case and the other half are strewn across my garage thanks to my brother. I should probably pick them up when I get home.

Everywhere. Much to my wifes discontent.

I must be a rare organized gamer...

All of my infantry sized models are in the games workshop foam. All of my vehicles and larger models are in army transport trays.

GWs infantry trays fit absolutely perfectly into cardboard file boxes. 6 trays to a box. I buy 24"x18"x10" boxes, which hold 3x 10" stacks of army transport trays. In my closet I have a stack of file boxes and a stack of the larger brown boxes, one large GW figure case, one small one, one large army transport and one small one.

It's a cheap and very tidy way of organizing armies. I helped my ork friend organize his massive ork army this way. I've got about 8k of IG, 8k of necrons and about 4k of eldar in there. And you wouldn't know it if you looked in my closet.

I have an old TV stand in my studio. Death Guard on the top shelf and World Eaters on the 2nd shelf. Finished and WIP go in their respective places

I could organize it, but I'd much rather see the figs. If I keep up this
pace, however, I'm going to need a better system about halfway through
this year.

I keep the majority in cases, a few larger bits are on shelves

Mine stay in their cases, because I simply couldn't possibly fit them all in a room. And Lord knows what my cats would do to them...
