When I was 5 I crawled around a construction site and poked a hunk of rebar into my forehead 6 stitches.
When I was 6 got my foot ran over by a 10 wheel truck or lorry to you brits.
When I was 8 climbing a fence pointy part on top through my palm 14 stitches.
When I was 23 or 24 sprained my ankle.
Dang I was accident prone.
No broken bones tho.

Well Russ, it seems like you have learned your lessons , from age 8-23 you were sort of ok!

Red actually goes faster because traffic lights always have the complementary colour to your car. Green car = Red Lights. Red Car = Green Lights

Accidents tend to love me. I played soccer most of my life and have twisted and sprained my ankles so many times that is isn't even funny. From not being able to walk for a week to having to use crutches. I've cut my pinky all the way to the bone in about an inch long cut(school wouldn't let me drive to the hosp to get it looked at...i got a band aid instead).

I've rolled a car 5 times and managed to crawl out of it with only 4 cracked ribs, a cut spleen and liver. Was in and out of the hospital in 3 days. I was just told to take it easy...then i flipped another car...though i only had a cut on one of my fingers....btw both cars landed upside down.

I've had a bike pedal gash from the top of my left ankle all the way up to right below my knee.

When i was young I was attacked by a dog and almost had my right ear torn off.

When i first started skateboarding I decided i would be cool and try to drop on a 8 foot(i believe it was 8ft i just know it wasn't the 6 footer) half pipe. Never really made it onto the board. Instead i went butt first to the ground and either bruised the tailbone or cracked it....either way i couldn't sit for a few days.

I've also broken my nose which is now bent slightly to the right.

Also busted open my left eyebrow twice....stitches both times...one time was a knee to the face(from a friend though we were running and i tripped and got a face full of knee when i rolled) and the other time i was ice skating and a little girl fell infront of me...since i'm terrible at ice skating i did the only thing i knew how to do....fall...and what a good fall it was...busted my eye right open. Funny thing was i was with my friend how just 2 months before kneed my face...

i think that covers most of my bad luck

Bad day here, got laid off from work and all of my hobby stuff is in storage. All of this time could be spent painting.

Sorry to hear, poptarticus - it's a rotten time to be looking for a job too.

Hurray for having to shell out cash for over-due car maintenance.

Well my friend, join the unemployed club.

Now, historically, I have never been out of work for long. This is generally because I am notoriously unfussy about what job I do. My main concern is to keep a roof over ones head, and the readies flowing in, however much of a trickle that might become.

Best advice I can give is put on your sturdiest boots, print off a buttload of C.V.s and start whoring your skills round town. You may or may not be surprised how well that works!

Ditto! My job is being off shored to the Philippines so I have only 3 months left in my current job. Hopefully this gives me plenty of time to sort something out. If not it will be the first time I have been unemployed since a very brief period after leaving university. Given the state of the economy its all to easy to get downhearted and give up but don't. If your skilled and reliable with a good CV you will find someone who wants to employ you. Even during the worst recessions the majority of people will remain in work.

For me being single its all to easy to relocate as well, though I'd like to avoid that if at all possible as I do like living where I do!

As MDK says pop into any agencies you can, they may be able to get you odd days work here and there which may not be much but its sure as hell better than the dole! Also stick your CV's on any job finding websites you can. You will be surprised how it helps!

And just plain approach companies. I've found most of my Bosses have preferred that approach.

If you have any particular skill, play that up. If like me, you are multiskilled through professional experience, play up whichever one will help you get the job.

Only the naysayers are out of work and skint. Me, I'm quite to stack shelves in the local supermarket in the short term as it keeps the bills paid.

At least you can get a job. All the places near me will only hire you if your 16 and older. . And most of those jobs are during the summer, which is when a lot of adults get second jobs for some extra cash. !

So i failed on auto cannon, so i started with something even more basic.

Building movement trays out of plasti cards.
I use 10 chaos hound to measure / cut the base for convenience instead of using 20 marauders.

After im sort of satisfied with the movement tray, i tried
putting marauders in....

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF marauder is TINY bit wider than the chaos hound, so it doesnt fit.

After handing in a letter about my wish to Appeal my ismissal from work last Thursday, I finally got a response at 11a.m. this morning, requesting that I come in for a meeting at 2p.m. this very day.

Letter dated 20th (Day after mine) postmark? Yesterday. Thats right folks! I've got 3 hours to find free representation, otherwise they can claim all sorts of things were agreed. Mmmm. Trying to hide something I feel...

Not to worry. CAB is en route from Bus Stop to former work, so I'll see if someone can be spared. If not, I will go to the meeting, on my todd. And despite what my former boss says, todays decision will most certainly NOT be final. All this is adding up to a sadly unnecessary (if she rescinds her judgement, and pays me my four weeks notice pay) Employment TRibunal, I am damned confident I can win.

Got 8 hours on my feet making food with a sore ankle [twisted it yesterday running aroung acting a fool] and then I have to listen to the Mrs. be all bitchy today because she is getting her wisdom teeth pulled.

On top of it all, I have to go to dinner with her parents. [Her stepdad hates me...The feeling is mutral].

Went to CAB. Spoke to advisor. I was advised to tell former boss to get knotted on todays meeting, and booked me in for a thorough advice session on Friday at 2:00.

Went to former work for 2 o'clock to tell the former Boss to get knotted. She was most insistent the meeting went ahead today. I stuck to guns, explaining 3 hours is not sufficient notice for a meeting of this magnitude, especially when I do not have ready access to a representative.

And that is when the alarm bell started ringing, and I sensed I almost had her on the Ropes. She tried to persuade me to go ahead with the meeting, as she can refuse me my Representative. Which is a crock. In any Disciplinary Meeting, or Fismissal Appeal, I am *entitled* to have representation, professional or otherwise, as without such, we could make a verbal agreement on a settlement, which the Boss could then go back on. Without a rep to back up my case, I wouldn't have a leg to stand on.

So, roll on Friday. I think the CAB will be VERY interested to hear the crap she came out with.

I have similar experience when i teach swimming classes, but they 100% do as i say.
What i do have trouble with is their parents.... God i hate dealing with their parents when
i fail their child lol. Basically overly protective and delusional -_-;

Got *mock* standardized test tommorow. Ugh. BTW, they won't call them trial tests, but they should. groups of grades get them, then have to take them so the school can add those to the next years tests for the new batch of kids. F!

I try not to think of Harley popping his clogs. He's still a young'un, but even so.

The dog at my hair salon passed away in Jan this year, it lived for incredibly long 16 years.

As much as i love dogs, i get worried everytime i go to the salon, because i can tell the dog is really really... Struggling to stay alive . but then its just wow :< its hanging on just to stay with its master abit longer.

Dogs are magnificent animals.

Man, I really want a dog, but I know I can't afford one and am not around enough to take proper care of it.

On topic, I was braced for a bad day, because I hadn't even started on a project that's due Monday. My teacher usually lays the guilt on thick for that sort of thing, but I just told him my idea and I think he really liked it and didn't say anything about me not having started it. Of course my last two projects kicked ass so maybe he finally trusts me to get it done right.

May I suggest a rescue pitbull? They are wonderful animals. My brother has three,and a two month old baby, who they treat as part of the pack. The one even puts the tennis ball in his crib, hoping he'll throw it. They really don't have a set feeding or pooping schedule too. So if you come home one night at 7 and feed them, and you don't come home till 01:57 the next they'll just wait until someone feeds them. Be careful though, because the do play very rough with one another, and they aren't wired to feel the painlike others. You can throw one into a wall (I advise not) and they'll bounce right back up!
