Impressed would be a better word and I stand by that for the reasons given already. I know empire building isn't right, but I will always refuse to condem our nation for building an empire in the past. How can I, our ancestors understanding of what was right and wrong was completely alien to what we believe is right and wrong now. Plus it would mean we couldn't mock the colonials every now and then

Live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about his religion. Respect others in their views and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life. Beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and of service to your people. When your time comes to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home.

Sure but I think the issue of them knowing what is right or wrong is a grey area. I mean did theyreally not know what they were doing was wrong? It could be argued that they knew what they were doing but their greed superseded that.
