Well, saw it yesterday and I thought it was great.
Gambit deserved more attention, and so did Wade.

I'm torn between going to see this or Star Trek on saturday. Star Trek is tempting, but Wolverine will be gone from cinemas sooner.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

There's more to life than plastic soldiers.

Or so they say.

I'm torn between seeing it again (and paying for it this time - what? Having friends who worked on the SFX does have its benefits) or seeing ST, but given I'm sooo not a fan of anything else JJ Abrams has done, I'll probably go see Iron Maiden: Flight 666 at my local instead.

Not a comic book geek. I know who wolvie is. I've read a grand total of ZERO X-men comics (and/or spinoffs). The movie entertained me, though. More entertaining than paying the $15 to see it, that other people pay, that's for sure.

After seeing a movie...were you entertained? If you let a lack of "sticking to the story" keep you from enjoying a "decent" movie, you need to reevaluate your reasons for going and seeing comic movies. They rarely stick to canon totally for the sake of telling the story cleanly within the span of an hour and a half to 3 hours.

Here's a shocker for you Dark Knight fans....Batman isnt a ninja.

...of course maybe you guys would be happier without these movies coming out. You should've been my age when Superman: the movie came out. It was all we had and we were DYING for superhero flicks...when all they came out with were dirty harry movies...well, and star wars. Be glad you HAVE these awesome eye candy flicks with your favorite characters from the comics.

Word.

Neel before Zod! (sorry second movie there)

We liked it. The Vietnam vet laughed at the first part, but everyone on the whole thought it was a worthwhile popcorn movie. Liev Shreiber stole it I thought and She Who Must Be Obeyed liked the scenes of Sabretooth running.

I thought Wade(?) looked stupid though and right out of Mortal Kombat though. I expected to hear the cheesy video game noises to start up.

I saw the movie Saturday. I am a huge wolverine fan (2nd fav behind Captain America). I thought the movie was good. It didn't have that WOW factor that Iron Man had, but it was a good movie. I didn't have much of a problem with the changes they made to the back story. The one thing I had a problem getting over was not seeing sabretooth as a blonde haired long hair, they could have just put a wig on Shriber(just a small gripe). The fight scenes were pretty good, but again, just lacked the WOW factor.

I give it a B+

See I loved the new take on Sabertooth as I always thought he looked stupid, not like a psycho killer. And Shriber pulled that look off great. I do wish they took more time with the War scenes in the beginning they were SWEET!

I saw it friday afternoon. I really enjoyed it. I dunno deadpool's story so nothing with him bothered me. I liked how they tied in the other xmen films with some of the cameos.

Wasn't Sabretooth the longhaird wrester lookin fella that followed Magneto around in the 1st movie? If so, I liked this version better. Liev shreiber is great in just about anything he does.

Yes and yes. The Sabretooth in XMen was lame.

Liev Shreiber's sabretooth LOOKED like a predator.

Yeah, I agree. Shreiber was a lot better, but still, it kinda ruins the contunity, which they appearantly were trying to keep, otherwise they wouldn't have needed Stryker.

Well isn't Sabretooth not related to wolverine at all in the comics? That kind of throw scontinuity out the door.

Besides I'd rather Shreiber that furball any day.

Don't get me wrong, I loved Shrieber's take on the role. I'm just used to years of seeing a blonds haired sabretooth. Not a HUGE deal, it was just a small gripe on my part.

Maybe they can hire george lucas to digitally remove the long haired guy from the first movie and add the new sabertooth in his place?

But now that has me thinking.... it's been a while since I saw the 1st movie, but didn't sabertooth kinda act like he didn't even know wolverine? Or were they not on the screen together too much? But also now that I think about it, I don't think Sabertooth's name was even mentioned in the 1st movie other than in the credits maybe... so maybe they're thinking some folks won't know they were the same character?

I didn't go with over the moon hopes, but Gambit ruined it for me.

Every time he opened his goddamn mouth.

Dropping the D off "Friend" a Cajun accent does not make.

Apart from that, it was worth the € I paid to see it for sure. Not awesome, but not terrible

They did call him Sabretooth in the first movie.
