Maybe you're in denial? And what has this got to do with anything?

mcfly wrote:I understand I came off bad but this is peoples opinion. Don't get mad at me for giving mine. And Phloop, are you a Christian? Because if you are, you're opinion is wrong. And if you're not, then don't judge me after what you just said.

Now, SHUT UP and Don't get mad at me for what I say.

Perfect example of the fallacy of Ad Hominem, homeboy.
Firstly, my opinion is no more wrong than yours. I respect that you have views. But your views and the backup you give them are childish at best. I'm not attacking you, but the garbage you're spewing on the internet (by your own admission, "[you] just say what [you] want online and don't worry about the consequences.") is harmful and very, very ignorant.

And no, I'm not a Christian. Because of people like you.

Because of people like me. Who have trouble expressing themselves. Wow, real smart. Yes, I say what I want. I know it sounds ignorant. I'm not an ignorant jerk though. I don't want to debate with you, because I think you have a perfect set of beliefs that you won't ever change. It doesn't matter what I say, you'll still call it, oh what was it, childish. Yes, I'm not 18 yet. Yes, I did skip my senior year of highschool. Yes I AM in college. I say this so you realize I'm not an idiot. But still Phloop, you got mad at me for judging when you judged me. "I.. I know my time has come" Tethesis said with a gasp, a torrent of blood flowing from his lips.
"No! Hang on brother!!" Altharius could feel the warmth slip away from his dear sibling's hands

Tethesis's reached out his bloodied arm to Altharius's face.
"I..I have one final request"
Altharius leaned close to listen, tears welling in his once bright eyes.
"make sure th..they put my soulstone in a tank... it'll be... real fethin' cool"
"Yes, you're gonna be the most fethin' cool tank!!" burning hot tears streaked down Altharius's face, as he held his brother's soul in his grasp.

And your opinion is no more correct than his either Phloop. Frankly the initial post was whether you'd have an issue, not defend yourself against attacks.

Biologically, there's absolutely no good to come from it, as the point is to reproduce. Its a negative and waste of resources from a pure math basis. Not relevant to the topic or frankly, the issue though. I don't care what cochroaches do, only that they die die die. If we followed nature life would be a horrendous the strong dominate the weak situation and I think thats something most of would prefer tnot to have in such an absolute way.

I care about what people do. More importanly, I care about what awesome chocolate concoctions they create.
OT but for my birthday I hate chocolate cake topped with a mound of swiss chocolate rolls, covered with frosting, with a tank rolling over it('over the hill' hah). Chocolate covered chocolate rolls on top of a heavy chocolate frosted chocolate cake, and wine. yea.

Gay and straight doesn't make much difference to me. I do have a problem with those that identify themselves as bisexual and polyamorous. If you're not content with what one person can give you, will you ever be truly happy? Or will you just be biding your time until you start to swing the other way? I can understand a little experiementation at one point in your life, but after that choose a side!

Phloop,
I think what mcfly is trying to say is that he finds lesbians hot, most guys who are not gay do. Just like some freakin anime girls think that yaoi gak is hot. You also said that love isn't necessary, it really is. If a child is conceived through rape then it has a higher chance of being aborted or may receive no care from the mother. A child conceived in love will receive better care, even if it is handicapped or misshapen.
You also are being hypocritical my man. Saying that the sole reason for not being a christian is people like mcfly says that you hate people like him so much that you don't want to have the same religion.

Mcfly,
WTF dude. You totally came on here and horribly misspoke the message that you were probably trying to convey.

Inquisitor,
Good christians can swear and they can find lesbians hot, but they would condem the action and try to make the lesbians straight. A good christian is a person who would help people out of the goodness of their heart. A good christian does not have to attend church frequently, they just have to believe in Christ and God. You stated that you are not a christian but "know" the faith. I say to you sir, FAIL!

I'm just trying to even everything out. I know that it seems I attacked phloop and inquisitor more than mcfly, but I do not agree with the "gays go to hell" thing.

I don't think it is that they find lesbians hot, it's that most straight males find naked women hot and two naked women is twice is hot as one. It's all math really.

I don't care what people do in the privacy of their own homes. As long as everyone is consenting then what they do is their business.

That said... it's not business that should be shared with everyone and their dog. If you get into polite conversation and the topic of sexuality comes up, then share. Don't go trolling on a wargames forum looking for an argument or for pats on the head to justify your decisions.

In my opinion you're trolling.

Alright, so I'll explain. I am Christian but open. I don't swear out loud or EVER take the Lords name in vain. I just say what I want online and don't worry about the consequences.

This is the last thing I'm busting you on so don't worry, but go tell your priest about 'God popping caps in peoples asses' and see if he thinks thats taking the lords name in vain or not.

Of course your allowed to your opinion on the matter, its what he asked for after all, its not your opinion I questioning but your so called religious reasons.

Sexual maladaptations are not to be encouraged, or tolerated; their existence is detrimental to the species.

I also despise weak, effeminate men. Homosexuality seems to instill a feminine, vain, emotional sort of person - eager to please and to appear attractive.
And with a positive need to be liked.
That, or they have a massive inferiority complex and get vicious to anyone who calls them out on it.

Tolerance is not something I value. I do not expect others to be accepting of my peculiarities and vice versa; this is a competitive world - the fittest survive.

People have a right to be treated equally, either you accept the hot girls making out AND the two dudes making out at a romantic restaurant or you scrap your approval all together. You cannot have your hypothetical cake and eat it.

But physically love is not necessary for biological reproduction. That was my point. By saying that being gay is biologically "wrong" because there is no offspring as a result of it is like saying that rape is "okay" because it furthers the species!

halonachos wrote:You also are being hypocritical my man. Saying that the sole reason for not being a christian is people like mcfly says that you hate people like him so much that you don't want to have the same religion.

I hate Christians because they preach love and acceptance on a Sunday but then do whatever they like the rest of the week.

Could you tell me where I can find this quote? I have several texts by/about him and I have never come across this. The first part I I see, but the second is much more insulting than he was. I can see where he may have said something similar, but not quite that. It seems more like a twisted or abridged quote than an actual quote.

I'm sorry, but I feel the need to counter this with a very simple question....

When did you last successfully breed?

And how many gay man have you genuinely met? No, not the irritating Queens you clearly have decided all Gay men are, but how many in general? Willing to bet here it's a damned sight more than you would ever guess. Why? Because the vast majority of the homosexual community are not screaming Queens. Personally, I don't get the Queen mentality, but hey, each to their own.

Actually, there is good that comes from it. Homosexuality is measurably tied to population density, in many species, including humans. It is one of nature's ways of coping with overpopulation in a species. Once you have enough people, the point is no longer to reproduce, as further reproduction simply increases the strain on the available resources.

Closest I can get to a referance is E. Stanley Jones, but the quote is generally attributed to Ghandi.

Phloop, the thing with the oppossite sex and actions involving two or more of them (ie:lesbian sex/ gay but not lesbian sex) will always appear sexy to the other sex. I don't really care either way it goes, I just hate yaoi because its anime and I dislike anime.

Love can be biological as it is affected by chemicals in the body. Pheromones are used to create "love" in the animal world. OH SNAP BIOLOGY!
Rape may create a child, but the child has a horrible chance of survival which is a biological negative. Humans are supposed to grow before they reproduce and if a child dies before that time then it is a biological negative.

It doesn't matter, you still said that HATE christians. Thats not good coming from a person who supposedly likes christ now is it? I believe in christ, but I'm pretty sure I would never ever be able to be anything like him.

From Ghandi's quote I give you the king of hypocrites. A person who supposedly loves all cannot dislike anyone, no matter what.

How many women do you know that enjoy watching two men kiss? I certainly don't know any. In fact, most of the women I know are almost entirely indifferent to the sexual relationships of others.

Yeah. I wouldn't say it's dead common perhaps but I know a fair few women who dig this kind of ting. A few of them ,apparently, even throw "parties" where they show male gay porn films as entertainment. I think they got this idea from Sex and the City perhaps ?

The ladies I refer to treat that show like it's the second coming. They've been on "pilgrimages" to the places where it's filmed. It's kind of awesomely negatively depressing how much influence the show has had on them.

And perhaps your life is different, it would explain a lot, but in my experience people don't tend to throw parties where they watch porn. That tends to be a much more solitary affair I think.

Silly women, they should stick to washing up and cleaning, clearly.

Back to the original question.

I think it is an alternative life style. By that, it means you have chosen (or feel pulled to) a way of life different from the majority. As a human being you are still due all the respect inherit in being human (i.e. - based on your actions). I don’t see why society should reward the alternative. Society should allow the choice, but not reward it (marriage, adoption, etc.)

That is my $0.02 on it.
