Does the Nid battleforce have multiple weapons for customization? The AoBR isn't too customizable in terms of weapon bits.

Yep! it contains all the same contents as if you buy them in their individual boxes.

Wow, that has to be the best box. Buy three of those and it fills your Heavy Support or Elites choice via fexes. Gives you an HQ / Elite choice from the warriors. Plenty of troops for a starting army. All you would really need is a hive tyrant and some stealers maybe and you'd have a good army. A few more fexes and you'd have one strong nidzilla army.

It's the way I kick-started my 'Nid army. Buying three, as I did, nabs you:

9 Warriors
24 Genestealers
24 H-Gaunts
24 T-Gants
3 Carnifexes

At the time GW still had a bits service, so I had ordered 3 Carnifex body sprues beforehand, and with the extra bits from the standard Carnifex sprues built a further 3 Carnifexes. Wish they still did that...

besides that, theres always archers (which are suprisingly made of win instead of peasant flesh) and 10 man units of M@A for meatshields for knights.

My army has two 16 man units of archers, ive played with them alot, the only time they have ever killed anyone was in a single game against wood elves, not really that useful, m@a usaually get killed quickly, but are very useful bait units, basicly the whole brettonian army is overrated except for knights errant, and units of pegasus knights led by a lord on hippogriph (very useful for flanking)

One of the guys at my FLGS is trying to make his Gauss weaponry red. So far he says that the thing to do is to paint the inside of the weapon (right under the filament) white, because black makes the filament appear darker. Then, paint over the filament in the desired color and it should look fine when finished.

He's working on having Necrons that just have red filaments at this point, and they seem to be turning out alright.

Just thought perhaps youd like to know

If I had any interest in a Necron army I would be buying up Bane or Assault Goliaths right now to use as Immortals. as it happens I will try to scrounge a Necron warrior or two to see if tyhey are any good when mixed with spare Storm golems for making Overseers.

The red era is bright red everywhere, not ther odd red highlight. I have seen Nec rons with red transparent sticks and it works very well. Even better if you inkwash with a little orange.

Nope, care to enlighten me? I havn't found any use at all for my peasants. Mostly I just let them die at the first oppurtunity/on occasion I have used them to allow a unit of knights to get behind the unit they attacked.
