Of all the brushes I've used, GW's have given me the most for my money. I picked up a few recently (can't remember where or what brand), and they shed hairs like it's going out of style. That being said, I will probably pick up a set of these. If they're crap, oh well. I'll just set them on fire.

I was never satisfied with GW brushes and the new design doesn't entice me enough to try them again. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice... The low price for kolinsky sounds appealing but I'll wait for some reviews by some master painters before I decide.

In the meantime I'll stick to my W&N and Vallejo brushes.

Citadel brushes have always been fair brushes to use, but they're usually priced too high. I amass my cup of brushes from art stores. These ones do look nice though. Have brushes that are in good condition atm tho, but these do look solid.

"I drive a big car, cuz I'm a big star. I'll make a big rock-and-roll hit." "I am a big car, and I'm a strip bar. Some call it fake, I call it good-as-it-gets."

I am both selfish and chaotic. I value self-gratification and control; I want to have things my way, preferably now. At best, I'm entertaining and surprising; at worst, I'm hedonistic and violent.

These brushes are actually made in the same factory as the Winsor and Newton brushes. They are also quite good in comparison to the Series 7 brushes, so I wouldn't judge them until you try them. In my case, I have compared the two and they are as good/nearly as good as the W&E brushes. I would still recommend the series 7, but the GW are easier to acquire in a pinch.

Do not be afraid of the dark, it is harmless; be afraid of what dwells within it.

What surprises me is the fact that this is four months old, lol...feels like the new brushes came out like a month ago.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.
