its been a long time away but im back with my magnetized demolisher with all weapon options/dozer blade and extras magnetized..... plus converted twin linked autocannon and custom stubber

The tank is very easy to magnetize especiually the main guns due to the newish cannon mount the kit has.

The heavy strubber (as one doesnt come in the box :( ) was made from a hacked down autocannon and a few extra bits from the box.

Nice tank, thats a nice conversion on the extermintor weapon

I really like those Shadowforge models! They look great in that they (A) are noticeably female and (B) aren't over-the-top.

That being said, I would have to agree with some of the other posters in the fact that this is probably the most tasteful female army I've seen so far. The utilization of all of the GW female models, some other kits integrated with GW parts, and some awesome GS skill certainly gives it a nice GW feel too it, which I haven't seen in the other female armies. These guys...er, gals remind me of a bunch of female Catachans, and with the male Catachans are as dangerous as they are, I can't imagine what these gals are like on a bad day!

This is awesome! I'm really impressed. Great GS work. I definetly agree with the tasteful comment. You've inspired me to go ahead on my female-guard project. I was beginning to think that there was no way to do female guard without making them look like an army of hookers, but you've proved me wrong! (I'll be posting WIP stuff in this section of dakka soon... just as soon as I get a boatload of green stuff...). Any tips? if it would be easier to pm me, that's cool

if you do goahead with an all female or part female army be prepared to do lots of work and darn it can be hard to find good models and bitz...its worth it though

Don't touch the Chapterhouse heads. They are ugly as feth. Microart offer superior sculpts.

those chapterhouse are bit weird..the microart do indeed look better

i prefered the hasslefree as it gives you free rain to model a helmet/beret/hair

mm tips..well these are mine:
1: get some good tools..seriously the "clay shapers" as gs doesnt stick to them as they are silicon...notes metal/wood and plastic tools can still be used but need water or oil on to stop em sticking.
2: practice i spent ages making just minor improvements and adjustments like just doing extra pockets or berets..
3: research ..look at similar models ..i even looked up and read sculpting books /articles
4: IF IT GOES WRONG SCRAP THE GS OFF AND START AGAIN
5: remember gs goes hard over a set time that differes on temp...so if you want very fine detail let it harden a bit then do small detail it really helps
6: practice practice practice

at last my two new shineys from hasslefree arrived



Started by smootingh over any chainmail, which was on the elbows/ankles/crootch and bottom..oh er missus!
Hoping this model will become my equivalent of SGT Bastogne(?) with hot shot las pistol and power sword.

Methinks you should cram a Commissar cap on that Trenchcoat mini. She looks far better than GW's Fugly Femmissar

tried seeing how a wire from the powerpack on the bacxk would work going into the handle of the las pistol
used cotton but as you can see it gets pretty bad looking after paint
may replace with some wire, put cant find any thin enough yet

Awesome conversions, the wire on the HSlas could be thicker.
Also, that pistol goes halfway down her leg. Damn GW exaggerated gun sizes! Look at your leg and try to imagine something that goes halfway down it. I don't think that would be classified as a pistol.

Yeah, I was dissapointed at the amount of stuff that came in the LRdemo kit. No HS? No SB? No stowage or equipment? Not even track guards? Only 2 frames, GW. Not good enough.

indeed it is a huge pistol...

i am thinking about greenstuffing a smaller one from scratch, if it works

Try the 'twist-tie' from a loaf of bread. strip off the covering and fold in half. Grip folded end with small pliers and twist slowly by hand.
That's how I did it for some of my conversions.
