Yeah that army is kind of nuts I don't see how another equal point army is suppose to win against it.

If I lose it is because I had bad luck, if you win it is because you cheated. |

Hence why I'm not playing my O&G (and probably Fantasy in general) till 8th edition - assuming I can't get a good price for my armies before then.
40K is such a vastly superior game, I no longer feel much need to bother with Fantasy (I'll do Warmachine when I want to play in a swords and sorcery universe instead of sci-fi).

@Asmodai: You know, 40k is a (power/chain) swords and (psyker) sorcery universe, right?

I find it absolutely hilarious that the situation was exactly the opposite a few years ago.
I'd say that I feel your pain but I've played VC and Chaos since I started the game, so I've never really known obsolescence. Hell, I still remember when Chaos Knights were invincible to S3 attacks; during the heady days of herohammer.

I played 40k in 3rd edition, and have gotten back into it, but I'm getting into fantasy now and might end up abandoning 40k for it.
At the Battle Bunker in Glen Burnie, I've been asked to play fantasy games numerous times, or gone up to players and asked them for a game and had them say "I only play fantasy". I was suprised how many there were... and happy about it, since I'm getting into it now

I've never seen or heard of a Fantasy player at my shop and I'm there twice a week. Been going for a year.
I just keep wondering where all the fantasy minis in the "used" case keep showing up from if there's no fantasy players.

I am both selfish and chaotic. I value self-gratification and control; I want to have things my way, preferably now. At best, I'm entertaining and surprising; at worst, I'm hedonistic and violent. |

I built 3 large armies for fantasy, Lizardmen, Vampires and Ogres. I played for a few years and have sold all of the armies. The thing I began to realize is that WFB is just too slow developing for me. Also the whole battle line concept got old, you know where you or your opponent lines up all the models like in the movie brave heart-----BORING. I prefer the dynamic movement of 40K.

Yes, it is - I'm just looking for a fun game.
I no longer need to win every game, but I like the notion that the armies are more-or-less balanced, and that simply isn't the case in WFB.
Try telling that to my Orcs, who have lost to Daemons precisely once. Vampire counts aren't too much bother as well, once you know how to take them on (restrict one Magic phase, shutdown the next, restrict the following).
There is a lot of uninformed whinging about Fantasy. For example, yes my Dreadlord on Black Dragon is super killy. But then, he's cost me over a quarter of my 2,000 points, I kind of expect him to chew up enemy units. Even then, I have to go for the flank or with some support if I wish to take down a fully ranked up unit...
Daemons do have pretty big weaknesses if you look for them. First up, they are a high point army, meaning they will wind up with few units. Plus, a hidden one is their mix of movement. With so few units, if the controlling player isn't careful his army will be coming at me in bitesized chunks, and I'm good at dealing with bite sized chunks...
I find the variety in Fantasy far wider than 40k. But each to their own.
