I could spend ages going through my stockpile of bits - but then I'd never get anything done!!

However the best find is my unmade marine diorma from the Skullz promotion - that's still waiting for the day when I feel good enough to paint it in the manner it deserves

Some wargame stores that deal in a lot of second hand models will sell bags of bits.

I got a whole load of CSM bits for £3 that was enough to build and finish off around 100 CSM's (most of them were lacking weapons/backpacks etc). Also got a huge bag of Wood Elf bits for a simmilar price that might come in handy at some point.

Blood-Raging Khorne Berserker

I don't even KNOW anymore.

Huh. I just found a team and a half worth of the original Blood Bowl halflings. That's more than a little odd.

Also, about 200 25mm round slottabases and 50 of the 60mm extremely flat round bases.

I found enough supplies for the upper half of a badass inquisitor. but no legs. I don't get it, some how i have more than enough torsos for my marines, but exactly the amount of legs needed for my squad of said marines. of course, a wheelchair bound inquisitor would be an interesting sight.

Oh, it will come in time. Especially with the newer boxes that include more parts than you can possibly use. Just make sure you keep EVERYTHING you don't use. Even if it's not useful, you might be able to trade it to someone for some interesting bits.

Death-Dealing Dark Angels Devastator

Saltillo, MS

The other day I was sorting out my tools that I put in a box with some projects and I found 50 1/16X1/32 disk magnets. I thought they were in their baggie, but they had gone AWOL. I found the baggie after I put them with another batch of magnets.

I bought some used miniatures from a couple different guys who used to live together, so I ended up with a few bitz boxes full of neat stuff. I found a scythe from a peasant army from WHF I plan on modding to use with a Dark Angel Sgt or Chapter Master as a power weapon. Found a whole squad of the 2nd Ed Legion of the Damned, an RT Techmarine with the claw symbol and a wrench, but he's pewter, but mostly bits that I had already bought at thewarstore.com or my friends already had a bucketful of...

You tell your friends that you want to buy XXX at thewarstore.com for some sort of project and they say,"Ok." Then it arrives and you tell them it came in and then they say,"Aw man, I've got tons of those, why didn't you ask? I would have given them to you."...But, but..yargh.

A week after I bought some Ravenwing flagpoles from bitzbarn, I stumbled upon 5 Ravenwing sprues being sold on commission at my FLGS, luckily, there was so many other bits on there it justified my duplication..

Prescient Cryptek of Eternity

Mayhem Comics in Des Moines, Iowa

Friends been borrowing my 'Nids for a good half a year or more but I've been feeling the urge to play em again so I asked for em back. I don't think I'll be laming stuff out for that long again. Digging thru a big pile of on the sprue bitz looking for replacement parts I found, all on the sprue and unassembled, eight Gaunts, eight Hormagants, a dozen Genestealers and ten Warriors. I knew I had four Genestealers I never got around to finishing, but therest of that? Man do I really have a problem with not finishing what I started.

If you find a couple of tanks in there, you've got an army going.

Horrific Hive Tyrant

London (work) / Pompey (live, from time to time)

Quite a few random things

ranging from old gundam wing kits (all broken of course)
to a huge bag filled with iron hands parts (missing thunder hammers though :()

also plenty of the old quest orks and other ancient parts (including 3 hybrid arms)

Suffused with the dying memories of Sanguinus, the warriors of the Death Company seek only one thing: death in battle fighting against the enemies of the Emperor.
