15, thank you.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

Yeah, ok, I can picture it. The sword is quite wide right?

Yeah. More like a long, sword shaped club.

Well, when I started my IG up again several months ago I was digging through some boxes that I had packed nearly a year earlier. I found around 30 Cadians, 8+ Hvy Weapon teams, and some Commissars. It was a pretty sweet find because I forgot all about them.

Not the best thing to find, but when I went rummaging through my bitz box I found 150 dollars in gift certificates. I guess I had just been saving them up or something I dunno their around 15 years old and the gaming store they go to has been closed for 8 years now.

If I lose it is because I had bad luck, if you win it is because you cheated.

Hmm, Ive found a 5 man squad of the first plastic plague marines. Those ones with the pointy helmets and the knife, that you cant pose. The old school chaos battleforce with the 2 part CSM minis. (man those SUCKED) I also have the 2nd edition powerfist. Some assault cannons from somewhere.
The best find tho, was I lost my super 7 speed dremel of doom, and had to borrow my brothers for a while, PRESTO I found my dremel!!! Now it needs a new bit because this one is shot! HURRAY ME!

About 2 weeks ago I found about 30 of the old metal necron warriors and scarabs, probably bought when the rules for them came out in WD all those years ago.

Also found some parts my FW thunderbolt fighter (?) I never put together.

Sitting in a crate under a bookshelf for 10 years, new in box :
Tallarn Desert Raiders
Devastators (don't plan on using them, but they will make fine heavy weapons alternatives for my Tac Squads)
Assault Marines (assembled them to be Vanguard, but then decided Vanguard isn't my thing)
Eldar Falcon
Juggernaut Of Khorne

Also a Dante mini that I horribly undercoated in ochre
I'll have to strip that one...

I don't have a bitz box. I have a corner of a room dedicated to all the bitz gathered in the last 15 or so years.

Rummaging through it all the other day, I managed to find (and build) enough bits for a custom Leman Russ. I also found a Basilisk I must've bought in '95. An Eldar Falcon, an old Chimera, two old Rhinos, couple of Land Speeders, a metal Dreadnought, 50+ Eldar Guardians, 30+ Dark Eldar, Dark Eldar Raider, 10 Eldar Jetbikes and enough Space Marines to make a 3000pt army.

I should sell most of this, I'm never gonna use 'em

Armies:
(CSM/HH) - Iron Warriors; Death Guard; World Eaters; Night Lords
IG - Vestfalian Expeditionary
Force (Solar Auxilia - HH)
SM - Blades of Inaros (Homebrew)
DE - Kabal of Ouroboros

What about cool things lost in your bit box?

I bought an Ogryn about two months ago I was gonna attempt to hack and convert into an Ork Warboss. POOF, he's gone! I can't find him! Did one of you take him or 'find' him in your bit box via a wormhole?

I did find two old beakie sprues I didn't realize I still had while looking for him!

I've now searched through all three of my sprue/blister/general-modeling-crap tupperware bins (you know those big ones from Target or Walmart?) and my large tackle box filled with tiny snipped bits! I really can't find him!?!?! I think I'm starting to believe you! Seriously, I can't figure out what happened to this guy!

On a lighter note, my modeling area is more organized and I did find (or more to the point, remembered) a bunch of random weapon and accessory bits I'd forgotten I had.

That damned Ogryn is really pissing me off, though.

Scyzantine Empire

A chaos marine heavy bolter.

Not cool I guess, but weird since I've never played chaos, never played against chaos, never bought a chaos model, etc.

I can only guess that he's there to heckle the loyalists, drink with the orks, and make fun of the pansy eldar.

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

Actually, there is a MUCH worse version of this model floating around somewhere. By worse, I mean graphic and detailed.

Nicorex wrote:So today I was working on unpacking some more of my carp, since I got my desk fixed. Well I seem to have boxes and boxes of bitz. So I decided I need to orginize these bitz, so I know what I have and can stop buying more stuff, since I could probably make just about anything I wanted out of all the stuff I have right now. So I started opening various boxes to see what I had in them. Well mostly I have a TON of marine and chaos marine stuff along with fantasy, ogers, old guard, etc etc etc. I did however find a few real treasures. An original full box of Legion of the Dammed, old school Laz tarantula, rapier lazer destroyer. old marine jetbike(both a built one and one still in the box). But the real golden egg at the bottom of this nest was 2(yes I said two) original Land Raiders, one is partialy built(but looks like all the parts are there to finish it) and the other is still on the sprue. So now I have a deliema. I thought of a cool conversion the other day, whitch i need two old school LR's for, I was going to search ebay for some old junkers, but should i use these 2 pristeen ones instead?

Anyway.. What have you found at the bottom of your bitz box that made you go "Yippy!" when you found it?

I found models so old i couldn't name or clarify what they actually were!
I actually had to post a thread on this site to see if anyone recognized them.
I got my answers.

Sad thing is, I don't have anything "lost" in my bitz box. While I can't specifically name everything in there, I can tell you if I have one in there if asked(finding which box or bag it's in is a different story). It's not organized, but I can recall if I've ever bought a set and generally which pieces I've used and not used from said set.

Near photographic memory is a useful thing to have when planning and working on conversions.
