Looks very Harlequin or Dark Eldar.

I like it quite a bit, and I think it would be best if you just made a bunch of magnetized options for the back weapon system instead of dwelling on it for too long.

Keep up the good work, and I hope to see you post some total scratch work soon, you are more than capable of handling the whole project with your own materials.

Thats a good idea, I agree!

95% of teens would go into a panic attack if the jonas brothers were about to jump off the empire state building copy and paste this if you are the 5% who would pull up a lawn chair grab some popcorn and yell JUMP BITCHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was throwing around some color schemes. I think this one fits quite nicely

Thats a nice mock up, very interesting.

Would you plan to paint light effects and illumination in the blue lit areas in the armour as well?

Well, for a moment I wanted to fit LED's there but I'm just insane, not mad, so yes, I want to paint in the ambient lightning.

either method sounds really interesting and I look forward to seeing how it turns out.

I really like ambient lighting painting, it can produce amazing effects if done nicely so this sounds really exciting!

Where did you get the idea for the patterns on the armour from? Any specific reference or inspiration?

I think I found that pattern on a royalty free pictures site and made a custom pattern out of it in Photoshop. The curves have a nice flow and go well with the overall shape of the model.

, well put mate!

I really like the way this is looking, and I hope to see it painted up all fancy soon . If you can pull that paintjob of I think this model will end up looking amazing.

That is just amazing. I honestly think you should leave it the way as is and make it a display piece. The shoulders I think throw things waaay too much.

If it were me, the most I would do is a Lady Deathstrike esque wraith-claw hand, and just one hand. probably the one thats in the rear position for a nice sweeping look. Just my two cents.

Very nice and fluid! I like the paint job idea and it is very different from the standard wraithlords and is alot cooler than the old harlequin wraithlord.

I second the magnetised shoulders idea, maybie and long and pointy shoulder pad sort of thing?

It reminds me of something from 'The Fifth Element'. I'm not quite sure why, maybe its the head. Seriously cool model though. I also like the concept paintjob.

HMV, did you sculpt the face or is it from a figure kit of some sort? Lovely posing, very graceful yet eerie.

Just personal opinion here but imo, the missile designs don't fit with the beautiful model you've made. I think they are much too angular, rather, too bulky for the current frame. They don't have that sleek feel to them that the rest of the model has. Personally I see a weapon akin to a brightlance on the back, what I mean by that is a longer weapon rather than a boxy one.
Still, kick ass model.

So, I was making some tubes to finish the Lady's arms yesterday and since they take a while to set, I searched for something to do in the meantime. I grabbed an old armature I did a while ago and never used and went to town on it. This is what it looks like so far

So, now that I have it mostly sculpted, I started to wander what I want to be in the end. The thing is rather large, a tad under 60mm if you add the head so I can either make it a big thing in WH or do an Inquisitor scale display model.

So far I came up with two ideas. And, since I probably won't be using any of the weapon designs I gave you and your voting will be in vain, you can now decide what's this one going to be.

The first one is a big mute for renegade militia - a guy gifted with great stature that just won't stop growing until he's 100% muscle and 0% brains. Fitted with an Arco Flagellant system for extra combat effectives and with a handler that keeps him from wandering into mines and bomb craters when inactive.

The second pic is a 54mm (more like 58) Marauder, like the ones you see in WAR. Billowing cloths with chaos marks, some mutations, scarification, gladiator style gauntlet etc.

Also sculpt him a penis. He's a dude, he needs a wang, not only for fun but for pissing too. Either that or give him a scar and a nephrostomy tube.

I'll add to that vote of confidence. It reminds me so much of the beserker from Gears of War, or that monster on a chain from 300.

I like the idea of a master-blaster type of concept, but I think you should try and do a bit more with the "trainer".

Perhaps make a gremlin like creature that is standing on the shoulders with a cattle-prod type of deal. I can't imagine a chain being enough to stop such a huge creature.

Something special with the head would be cool as well, you could even make the head the "trainer" and have it obviously be separate piece. Have the head on spider legs maybe, walking around on the shoulders poking the beast with a set of syringes (for different moods) and tazers to redirect it's movement.

Furthermore you could even have controls attached to the beasts brain or spine, and a seat for a driver of sorts on the back of the neck.

I am going to bug you with some more idea okay?

I have been doing some "aesthetic" research, and I spent some time running through hands, demons and giants. This one of the more inspiring works I have found, and I am a really big fan of the left hands weapon style. Like a giant spike boxing mitt, very cool IMHO. Add future to that and you have a few tubes that make it a super-power electric bang-fist. The axe is quite nice as well, if not a bit too fancy.

http://www.gamehobby.net/images/photo_gallery/gallery_warhammer_giant_gate_crasha.jpg

This is a very nice style, I like the balance of the "paws" and the rather slender body. You are working with a rather classic form so this may not be so helpful. It does inspire me to think of mayan art-work though, and the club (half-hidden though it is) would be a very cool weapon for a renegade giant.
