Those costumes aren't bad at all actually. Makes my Guardsman costume look weak.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

According to Eldar fluff (3rd Edition Codex I think), the finest human dancers would be unable to replicate the most basic of Eldar movements. Which would make it physically impossible for Eldar to appear in a 40K movie unless they used CGI... how depressing.

Mmm, Zelda...

Anyone notice the woman picking her nose in this one and the little girl scratchin her butt in the other?

As if on cue, you hear two people singing from the stairwell, and the door is opened and a pair of very smelly, very dirty guardsmen stumble in, completely drunk, and covered in vomit, and immediately collapse unconsious on the porch. You drag them to their beds, realising that they will not be waking up for some time.

Commissar has the best custume, I think. The mutton chops are ace, as well.

All in all, fact is that Warhammer 40K has never been as balanced as it is now, and codex releases have never been as interesting as they are now (new units and vehicles and tons of new special rules/strategies each release -- not just the same old crap with a few changes in statlines and points costs).

You know each time you shoot one they have a 16% of blowing up and killing you right?

Thats why officers have master-crafted versions...

She looked a wee bit under-age to me. Plus her boobs weren't that big or offensive. Oh well.

This is maybe the first really cool costume for 40k characters. Most of the time, 40k costumes just look cheap. Not that I can build anything better, but making something real-life for 40k is like an instant geekbutton.

But these are nicely made.

And the Commisar is the best because he doesn't take himself too seriously.

Personally I'd like to see someone do a convincing Krieg uniform, not just a greatcoat, a random gas mask and a surplus German WWII helmet all put on without much thought.

Someone who uses their hands?

Impressive costumes. SoB is just well-made. No references to she who wears it, though. Dyed hair is just... Bleh.

Lets also keep in mind that the kind of people that go out of there way to put on skimpy costumes that play up their sexuality and walk around as a visual commodity are doing so because they like the attention.

Right but We as the outsiders are the victims not him.

My point is this: I always love when some girl wears a cosplay costume that is barely covering her naughty bits, parades around in a conventional hall making "come hither faces" and posing for pics in suggestive stances and then she or someone else acts "shocked" when people focus on her as a sexual object and make such comments.

Is this equation really that hard to figure out?

Possibly the best Space Marines costumes I've seen... or are they photo shopped in some way?

No. The Space Marine at the back and drop pod are photoshopped, but the costumes themselves are genuine. You can even see the paint marks.
