I don't doubt that the work has been done on them; Yakface himself has come out and said as much himself. The issue is whether we are going to have a Duke Nukem Forever-esque situation where the product never comes out, although I think I trust Jes Goodwin to do better work for the Dark Eldar then whoever is responsible for the Duke Nukem Forever mess.

Dakka. You need more of it. No exceptions.

What are you talking about? They're Space Marines, which are heroic. They need to be able to do all the heroic stuff. They fight aliens and don't afraid of anything. -Orkeosarus

A strong saying with all stories and games imho
"A Hero can only be as strong and great as his nemisis"
Space marines can only be as great as the enemies of mankind can be, less space marines just get fat, doing nothing because their enemies are so damn pitiful.
Bring on the enemies on mankind! DE are the slavers and raiders of the universe, i know several friends of mine who would KILL for dark eldar stuff to be 5th'ed up and ready ;p

Id love it. The look and feel of the DE, personally, is just awesome. Well they SHOULD be awesome. The minis are terrible, and the rules are so out dated its scary. I mean there is what, 2 builds that are useful and thats it? That is HORRIBLE!
I love the concept of the DE, and would pretty much buy an army of them if they were released finally. But agsin, IVe heard this same rumor many times over, and still only have that same homoculus (sp?) picture of them in GS so Im not holding my breath

Well, the DE fluff is horrible too.
Cammoragh, the dark city of the DE kin, is somewhere in the universe.
Just a city?

Cammoragh,I assume, would be a "city" in the same way Coruscant (Star Wars) is a "city",basicly a planet covering Empire.
On topic,I'd love to see a re-working/sculpting of Dark Eldar and would very likely collect a Raiding force, DE was my first 40k army, and it would be nice to have another (better) version of that army.

Get some sculpey, and some fimo, and some copper wire. Then go find a good sculptor, and get your DE army made from scratch.
THAT... is the best chance any of us will have of seeing a re-sculpted DE army any time soon. JG or not, this rumor makes me angry for any DE player that has actually gotten their hopes up... you will never see those models... they are dust in the wind mate.

I don't think there's any reason to get angry, as it's a BS rumor. I find it really hard to believe GW would spend their time completing an entire army, get it ready for release, and then permanently hold off on it until "the time is right"...which is never, because no one is going to start buying up DE models anytime soon because we're all waiting for the new ones. It'd be a complete waste of time and money and one of the stupidest decisions GW has ever made.
But then again that's par for the course, I guess.

It appears to be a 3-up of a squat like miniature, maybe a Demiurg. Who knows?

Wrong, no where in the universe but in the Webway.
Also there is Shadoom, another Dark City. So there has been some additional Fluff in the past.
Look into the 5th Edition rulebook. It even says that the raids have increased and that mandraks and Harpys are some kind of creatures.....
that makes thinks realy interesting..
